Please remember that all discussion and material at TGS is to be rated 15+ and no more. However, we do insist that there be no swearing at all. Swearing or profanities are not accepted in any shape or form, including asterisks instead of letters e.g. (***) or (*$%).

No personal information should be disclosed anywhere on our forums, including the PM system. This includes details like addresses, full names, schools, pictures etc. If you are unsure what constitutes personal, please PM a member of staff to ensure you stay safe. Security is the most important thing. You may not post links to your social networking pages or anywhere that contains a personal picture of you. Links to Facebook, Myspace or Bebo (&etc) personal pages will not be allowed. You may link to YouTube providing you are not linking to a video of yourself. Linking to such a page will result in action taken at the discretion of the staff. Twitter links are allowed, again providing that you do not link to a page that contains a picture of yourself.

All links that link outside of the board must be rated as either 12+, 15+ or Mature, depending on the content of the page. Members who persistently forget to rate their links will be warned. Links to any part of the forum need not be rated.

Linking to NC-17 material is NOT under any circumstances permitted. NC-17 material is material that is very extreme. This includes: violence, language, sexually explicit images, as well as other things. If you are not sure whether the page you want to link to is NC-17, do not post it. Simple as.

Do not link to TGS from HPFF. Linking to TGS from harrypotterfanfiction.com and its forum has been forbidden, please respect the wishes of this board and keep yourself out of trouble.

Arguing is not allowed. This forum is for [b]POLITE[/b] discussion. No arguing is allowed, and offenders will be warned.

There is to be no spamming on the board. Spamming is defined by leaving one or two word replies to boost your post count. Remember: if you have nothing of value to add to the post, then don't say it. Spamming can also include the persistent sending of messages to our members in order to promote other boards. We do NOT allow members to mass-PM members in order to promote other websites.

No abusive posting whatsoever. There is to be no form of racial or homophobic abuse, or discrimination of any kind. Swearing towards another member will also result in heavy consequences. Anybody found breaking the discrimination rule will find themselves having their account suspended for a month. Once your account is no longer under suspension, breaking this rule again will result in the banning of your account, and your IP Address will also be banned to make sure you cannot create a new account.

Please read the rules of each forum (and there are rules for each forum) carefully before posting. Despite what you may think, they do differ in some forums, although the rules listed here apply in every forum, as well as personal messages.

Users are urged to report any offensive messages to a Moderator or Administrator as soon as possible so we can decide on the best plan of action against the offender. Likewise, if you notice an abusive post, please hit the "Report" button so the staff are aware.

You may only have ONE account. It is absolutely against our rules to create another account for reason other than if you are being web-stalked. If you have forgotten your password, there is a link on the login page to have it sent to your email address. If you suddenly decide you do not like your username, you may ask us delete your account so you can sign up again. We only change usernames under special circumstances. Ask us if you have a question. If you are being web-stalked, then of course, you may create another account as along as you inform an admin so they may delete your original account. These are the only circumstances under which you may create a new account.
