So let's discuss love and lies.

In a TV series that I loved, 'Mad about You' the theme song goes

"...tell me all your secrets, and I'll tell you most of mine..."

...which is what is at the core of most relationships, isn't it?

We WANT truth from our loved ones, yet we want to keep back at least a small part of the total truth from them.

And since usually both partners in a relationship are ... like us....both keep secrets 'only some small ones' from each other - and then when they are discovered, each thinks the other has deceived them.

And this is why it is so difficult for people, especially men, to committ to a relationship. For knowledge is power. And to give up the innermost secrets of your life to another, even a significant other, is like the total surrender of your soul.

Comments? And I'd like a woman's take on this post, if possible.

I have to stop now, My 11 year old mind is aching.

I'll just throw it out there:

The woman I love used to love me. I still lay awake at night trying to ponder what went wrong, why she started seeing me as a friend more than anything, why after all she said she felt for me did I turn out to be a pariah to her love?

Even she couldn't give an answer. I'm happy for the time we had together, yes, but it could've been so much more.

Surrendering everything is like surrendering yourself, opening yourself up.

Then again, you might forget something when opening up, not by intention. But simply because your memory at the time doesn't remember.
Then there's still something left.

Oe course, opening up like that can also feel good. To get everything out, instead of having it bottled up inside of you.

Love is tridimensional creature, it exists on three planes at once, the physical, the intellectual, and the deep gut feeling emotional...and the complicated thing is that all these dimensions are interconneted by their own Bermuda triangle.

Oh yes.
I know, not the most profound response but whatever.

Isn't that the truth.

It's the mental part of love, from what I've experienced, that can be so devastating.

Causing you to lose all rationale! But maybe that's infatuation. Which may or may not have anything to do with love, but when you first see that girl of your dreams, isn't that what you become? Hmmmm.

I am unfathomably attracted to my good friend's ex-girlfriend (OH NO NOT THIS SHIT AGAIN!)

I hope I learned my lesson the first time, but sometimes its fun to shake things up. Nothing is ever boring when you rock the boat.


I really need to date someone in school here. I have no trouble talking to girls anywhere, I just haven't had the balls to make a move since I broke up with Sarah. Guess I better step outside my comfort zone and work the ol' charm.
