Seeing as the boards have kinda gone stagnant I thought I'd start a more personal thread just seeing what everyone is up to in real life these days.

Not much and loads at the same time. Just chillin' with friends, really. Only time I am around my computer these days is when I'm heading to bed

Well I got one more year of undergrad. Looking less and less likely that I'm going to go to law school, mainly from the fact that I can get into Federal Law Enforcement without a JD and I'm sick of being in school.
On another note, I may be a father come February. Life really comes at you fast when you're not expecting it. -------------------- ![]() "Public opinion is a compound of folly, weakness, prejudice, wrong feeling, right feeling, obstinacy, and newspaper paragraphs. " -Sir Robert Peel |

I dropped out of highschool because in Florida it's full of shit, took a month off, then got a job working at a pizza buffet.
When I'm not working, I'm probably reading a Stephen King book (Currently, The Stand. I already read The Dark Half, Desperation, and Cell), playing some videogames (Dead Rising or Hitman: Blood Money since there's nothing else) or fucking around on the internet. I still play UrbanDead, if anyone cares. Inbetween all that, I like to lie around the apartment and complain about things and drink coffee excessively. -------------------- Scruffington: One time a ghost punched me in the dick

Come September I'll have the money to take the test. $50 seems kind of excessive for filling out a sheet of paper, but what can you do. D=

Hey hey, now I'm not the only one that failed to grasp why we need to be brainwashed with slanted propaganda like cattle. I have my master's degree in street smarts. It taught me alot more than anything in highschool did. The whole curriculum became redundant after 8th grade anyways. I still need to get my GED if I want to function and get off the streets though This post has been edited by GleefulSchizo666 on Jul 16 2007, 03:55 :02 PM -------------------- Behold the crucifix; what does it symbolize? I'm not going to mock this but just suggest you never say anything like it ever again.
True as that may be, and it doesn't get any less redundant after 4 years of college, it's a requirement of our society (right or wrong) and as such is necessary. Schooling is more an initiation and hazing into our society than a preparation for life. You take your lumps and move on.

Street smarts is what people say when they don't have legitimate 'smarts'
And for the record, everyone thinks high school sucks when they're in it. The difference is most people realize that you need at least a high school education to get any job that doesn't have a shitty salary. I think quitting is just stupid, excluding very rare circumstances. |

I know what you mean, I enjoyed it somewhat too, although I like university better for the fact that you can study mostly what you want. But yes, education is so much better/easier if you actually enjoy learning.
