Rules For The DRDMB
= General Rules =
"Flaming", or causing/being involved in arguments with other members, is not allowed. "Flame-baiting" is also not allowed. This is where members post with the intention to cause a "Flamewar". No hentai should be posted, and breaking this rule will result in heavy punishment. Light swearing should be kept to a minimum. Heavy swearing is not allowed. Please be a little bit thoughtful in the creation of your Username. We don't want loads of "Shadow146"s running about. NO SHORTHAND. Example: "hi wut is ur fave mov1e? lOL!1!!1oneone!" To be able to post on the DRDMB, you must have at least grasped the English Language. See the "Newbie/N00b" section for more details. No making fun of other peoples Religion, Country or anything. = Posting Rules = Do not post if you have nothing to say. Just posting something like "Yes" with no substance to it is a waste of a post. In addition, do NOT post topics that are directed at only one or two people. These are called "Closed Ended Topics" and serve no purpose in a forum that engages converation with every member. We have a fully functioning Private Messaging system, so if you wish to contact one or two fellow members, USE the PM system. Failure to do so will result in punishment. Posts that do not make sense or are just wasting topic space ('Spam') is not allowed. Do not "Bump" topics; posting something small at the end of a topic to push it higher up the forum list. If you see a member abusing any of the rules within one of their posts, then please PM us so we can catch up and dish out punishments accordingly. One of the reason people get away with things is because people don't bother to inform the Mods and Admins about such matters. = Private Messaging (PM) Rules = The Private Messaging system is a great privelidge given to members, and it is considered a gross misconduct to abuse that privelidge. No flaming or attacking other members via PM, on the back of a previous flamewar or otherwise. If you do not wish to speak to a certain member and they contact you via PM, you can add them to your Ignore List. If you are being abused or spammed via PM, contact an Administrator immediately. = Newbie/N00b = There is a difference between a Newbie and n00b. Newbie: A new member to a community with a good grasp of the English language, can communicate properly and can understand and adhere to a set of board rules. n00b: A new member to a community who can only type in shorthand or in TXT typing, has next to no grammar or punctuation skills and does not understand why there has to be rules to a Message Board, or decides that said set of rules are too harsh. Please, for your own health and safety, do not 'become' one of these n00bs, and if you already are one, for your own sake please do not register to the DRDMB. Because the community will hate you. If you are a regular human being with a brain capacity greater than a two year old, than welcome in. Sometimes members may be semi-assessed by their ability to type well. This is nothing to be worried about; we're not looking for the greatest English speakers in the world for this forum. However, you must be at least 80% literate to become a member at these boards, otherwise you will confuse board members and most likely annoy them. However dyslexic people are welcome. if you tell us we wont moan at you. Remember, its not your fault. = Banning System = If you break these rules, you will be contacted via Private Message, by an Administrator or Moderator to stop your behaviour. Under certain circumstances, we can skip this step at any time. In addition to the PM, you will also earn a "Strike" depending on the severity of your felon. There are 3 Strikes. The second Strike is your final warning before being banned [Strike 3]. Once you are banned, you will not be allowed back into the DRDMB. However, in some cases the Administrators and Moderators have the right to allow a previously banned member under special circumstances. Don't hold your breath though.
