nfl predictor/eliminator, hurry hurry

ok, so i didn't realise the season started tonight :rolleyes:

i plan to run the predictor/elimintor competition again this year. the rules are very simple and i hope as many of you join in as possible


1—Each week, predict ONE winning team.

2—Picks must be sent before the first game in that week kicks off*

3—If your team wins, you progress to the following week. If your team loses, you are eliminated from the competition.

4—You cannot select the same team more than once!


To enter (and to make you weekly picks) email me at "cats . football @ yahoo . co . uk" (without the spaces)

Remember to give me your name (and team name if you want one)

I will create a simple web site showing a progress table and keep it up to date, but can email this if you prefer.


*i'm willing to let this slide this week, as i forgot there was a game tonight (thursday), but you cannot pick TEN or PIT after kickoff time

i've had a few people approach me about joining, just a little too late for week 1

either i run a second competition starting week 2, or i restart the current one and add the new people. this would mean the week 1 losers would rejoin.

it's up to those currently playing. but let me know asap.

Whatever gets me back in after that ridiculous touchdown the Broncos got to eliminate me! :P

i was going to run a second pool for the latecomers and any week 1 losers who cared to join

however, none of the week 1 losers posted a new pick
plus, 3 of the week 1 winners failed to post a pick for week 2

my decision, therefore, is to add the four newbies into the main pool.

I thought that being 'eliminated' meant just that? Which is why I didn't submit a pick for this week.

But I will send one for next week...

sorry martin, your way back in was via the 2nd pool i was going to start from week 2.
i thought that was pretty clear from my post (the one previous to the one you quoted).

i didn't get any objections to either of my suggestions.

i've only now added the pool 2 players (two of the four are out now anyway) to the original group as almost half of the week 1 winners forgot to pick a team
