OMG! CREATE A FINISHER! They're completely redoing tag team matches as well, it sounds very interesting. Check it out at IGN.com, I'm not exactly sure where it was but it shouldn't be too hard to find.

THQ, the creator of WWE's beloved videogame franchise "SmackDown vs. RAW" has revealed the first details for the 2009 edition. They are expected to make a formal announcement regarding the game later today.

-- The game will be available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS, PSP, PlayStation 2 and mobile devices

-- The biggest change in the action will come with a strong focus on tag teams. Tag teams -- both in and out of Road to WrestleMania -- will utilize the same momentum meter, break opponents with double team finishers and make "hot tags" for the win. For the first time ever, players will be able to team up for co-op storylines in the Road to WrestleMania mode and take advantage of an overhauled tag structure to earn attributes on their way to the top. -- Also making its debut will be Create-A-Finisher, which allows fans to choose from more than 500 animations in their quest to build the ultimate move.

-- On the 360 and PS3 versions of the game, fans can look for the debut of SVR downloadable content - including downloadable superstars, legends, arenas, outfits, music, movesets and more.

-- On the Nintendo Wii, there will be more match types, more weapons and the debut of online gameplay, which will feature matches and rankings. The Wii version be the only place to find interactive entrances and victory celebrations that range from posing on the ramp to slapping the taste out of a beaten opponent. Get the crowd hyped on your way to the ring for an in-match bonus.

-- On the Nintendo DS version, Gone are the stylus-heavy controls of last year and in their place is a more traditional d-pad/grapple system gamers that have grown up with, although the stylus will still play some part in the action. There will be a season mode with an RPG approach. Players will interact with Superstars, upgrade their abilities and complete missions to become the champion. Create-A-Superstar will make its Nintendo handheld debut, there will be a larger roster of Superstars, and the title will pack a wealth of new match types.

-- So far Chris Jericho, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Randy Orton, Mr. Kennedy, Undertaker and John Cena are confirmed for the game.

I've merged 2 topics into on, ok discuss everything about svr09 here

ok lets start with a wish list of what you want to see in the new game, personally I'd like for the gm mode to have cutscenes, to finally be able to add music to the ps2 version, able to add your CAW's into story mode like in "Here Comes The Pain", and for me alone I guess......could finally add damn CAPES TO THE CAW CLOTHING!!!!! lol

More caw save slots.

No blur effect

Bring back some of the older better caw parts (Darth Vader mask parts, darth maul parts, capes, etc), and also bring in new stuff as well, and just redo the caw system in general. Its just been teh same system every year with slight modifications. Some clothing still looks painted on. We need way better female hair choices.

make everything online able. I'm sick of damn formulas. if you dont like people making caws of things non wwe related.........tahn dont even add the possibilty of making anything non wwe related. Of course thats pretty much impossible. So just let anything go.

*holds up ps2* dont listen to him babe *realizes ps2 has been on for awhile and is pretty hot*......OOOWWWW! lol nah I like my ps2 version better then the 360 one,

Reasons for that are I like the CAW mode alot better for the ps2, the girls actually look different instead of the same person with a change of attire, same with the guys. Granted its not the updated graphics but hey if I have to sacrifice 3d graphics for making my caws actually look the way I picture them in my head or on paper so be it lol.

Also the ps2 version in story mode when I say yes to something the game doesn't just go its own way, I actually get to pick my storyline, example on the Xbox 360 you get a phone msg from Stephanie McMahon, shes asks if you want to vacate your world title, I click "NO", what happens? The game says I clicked yes.........ps2 version I click no, and the game resisted it and I kept my damn title lol and whoops McMahon's ass at WrestleMania.

So there are plus sides to the ps2 versions, if the xbox version can let me do anything that I've mentioned above I'll gladly trade in my ps2 and move up, but until then I'm stickin with ps2 *hugs ps2* OW STILL HOT!!
