lets start this off with a little "who said it better"

"They can be a great people Kal-El they wish to be. They only lack the light to show them the way. For this reason above all else......there capacity for good......I've sent them you, my only son." - Jor-El (Marlon Brando)[1978]

"You will give the people an ideal to strive towards, They will race behind you, They will stumble, They will fall....but in time, they will join you in the sun.......In time, you will help them accomplish wonders." - Jor-El (Russel Crowe) [2013]

"When you first came to us, we thought that people would come and take you away because if they found out about the things you could do, well that worried us a lot. But then a man gets older and he thinks very differently better, starts to see things very clear. And there's one thing I do know, son. And that is, you are here for a reason. I don't know whose reason it is, or whatever the reason... maybe it's... I don't know.... but I do know one thing: it's not to score touchdowns." Jonathan Kent (Glenn Ford) [1978]

"Your not just anyone, One day you're going to have to make a choice. You will have to decide what kind of man you want to grow up to be......Whoever that man is, good character or bad.......he's going to change the world." - Johnathan Kent (Kevin Costner) [2013]

Crowe & Brando's lines are pretty much the exact same thing, only different words while Costner and Ford's are similar....there are differences in the sub context.

Personally I love the originals, thats never going to change but the newer stuff I dont hate which I'm pleasantly surprised about, so far so good happy.gif
