What you think of the expansion pack Dave? Personally I enjoyed it, especially seeing some classic units like the titans and wolverines, but was let down by the all but abrupt ending. Think they're looking at doing a pure GDI or Scrin expansion?

I enjoyed the expansion too, but I agree - the ending was way too abrupt. I think there was 9 missions in the game? I can't see a GDI or Scrin expansion to be honest - I'd love to be proved wrong, but I think EA were just looking to tie up some of Kane's back story before the next game.

Anyhow, I'm all geared up for Red Alert 3 this Christmas. :D

Cheers for sharing (although Dave actually sorted me out with this on Google reader).
Any tips on how to get a windows 95 installer to run in XP?

Edit: Ignore that question. Always read the manual.

Amusing installation, no, I don't want to reinstall directx 3.

RA3 has been pushed back to the 31st of this month. I haven't been this hyped up for a game in ages.

Just gone gold in the last couple of days. Want to pick this up so badly when it comes out but don't think I'll be able tp afford it straight away (especially with WOTLK (yes sad I know :P) coming out soon). Liking the list of extras that they supposed to be passing onto those who have pre-ordered it.

QUOTE
EA announced on August 20, 2008 that consumers can preorder Red Alert 3 with exclusive bonuses. They include the Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 game, exclusive multiplayer maps and a bonus DVD containing: "From Fighter to Assassin" - a featurette on Gina "Natasha" Carano, "Red Alert Retrospective" - a look back at Red Alert, Red Alert 2 and Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge, "Premier Edition Sneak Peek" - previews of "Raising of the Iron Curtain", "From Pens to Pixels" and "Command School", as well as exclusive Red Alert 3 desktop wallpapers.[28] This preorder offer is currently only available to the United States while other countries and territories are waiting for confirmation.

Does look really cool, although isn't a definite here yet. :(

The premier edition looks awesome, although it's only being distributed by Game over here. I've pre-ordered that version, can't wait 'til Halloween! I've actually re-installed RA & RA2 to get me back into the story.

QUOTE
Additionally EA announced there would be a limited Premier Edition of the game which features a bonus DVD with over an hour of exclusive content including interviews with the talent and a behind the scenes look at the shooting of the game's cinematic sequences, exclusive multiplayer maps, strategy tips from the development team, the official game soundtrack and an exclusive beta key to a future Command & Conquer game all inside an exclusive tin case.

Did you end up going RA3 Dave? If so how are you finding it? My old man has just got it within the last few days so not really had a chance to sit down and play it yet but have heard from a couple of mates that its been entertaining so far.

Yep, got it.

It's fun, a lot of fun. Haven't been able to devote as much time to it as I would've liked - Fallout 3 has been distracting me a lot. I really need to sit down and give it the attention it deserves. Highly recommended though - it's always been my preferred series within C&C, and this continues that.
