Seriously, it's cheap these days.
It's about £15 for the ultimate box edition, which includes 1 of the 800ms point DLC packs (although the shiztest pack). Now...onto selling. The main game will take you AGES...it's a full fledged Burnout game, has the traditional arcadey awesomely fast gameplay, may take some a bit of getting used to deal with the fact it's now "open world", but it grows on you, and you without knowing kind of learn the map (which is huge). There's an absolute shiz-tonne of stuff you can do online. You've got your standard fare of ranked races and such, or you can just freeburn, set time road rules, showtime rules (o.t.t. crashes), work on achievements, or!!! do these awesome challenges. I was playing it last night for about 2 hours with m0ssy (till my sister managed to make the power go out in the house by fkn about in the kitchen >_>). There are literally about 500 challenges online, that get you doing alsort of random stuff (i.e. meeting up at a jump, and having to both hit it from seperate sides and crash mid air), or go to set areas and build up a combined drift total. Basically the online challenges remind me of the random things the old Tony Hawks games would have you doing...and up until last night I'd never experienced the online challenges side of the game. I've had Burnout Paradise since April 08 but I've recently got back into it (in a big way), and I encourage more pgf 360'ers to get it...then maybe I can do some of the challenges that are for more than 2 people. I'd also say that the 1000ms point DLC (big surf island) is one of the best pieces of DLC I've witnessed, and theres also some DLC that gets you remakes of KIT, ECTO-1, Grand something? (forgot the name of the Dukes of Hazard Car) and a De-Lorean...that can hover! Standard edition (without Party Pack dlc) £9.79 - New Ultimate box (with the normally 800ms point 'party pack' DLC) - £15.48 Either version is fine really, there are 2 achievements you can only get by having the party pack, and basically party pack adds some modes that allow you to play local multiplayer (but only in a controller swap fashion). The game has no real offline multiplayer...but seriously the online is too awesome to miss out on. |

Well I've not seen you online much, I guess we go online at different times?
...and I've only got into Burnout again fairly recently. Next time you're on, we'll do some freeburn challenges or something. |

Nay.
I don't think theres any cross-platform multiplayers in existence. I think some developers have wanted it to be so on certain games in the past...but it never comes to existence. One example that came to mind was a PC/ XBOX game, but I doubt Sony or MS would ever want there gamers mixing, and the network infrastructures would probably be different too. |

I think EA were talking about it, at one time, when they used to run their own servers, but that was before they signed up to Live.
