Hey guise check out my graphicsz?

Hey a couple weeks back i had a quick stint in photoshop for something unrelated. I decided to use the old forums to see if i could still actually make something half way decent in photoshop.

I'm keeping the color theme for something else. I wish i could actually make this kind of crap back when i was skinning forums. Lemme know what you think. I dunno if this counts as advertising, i just want feedback on the graphics, but dont think it goes in general either way.

Oh yeh, ololol, i forgot to add, if anyone here actually likes whatever graphics from there. Feel free to use it for your forum/site whatever. I made everything (even the stupid poll/hot topic icons) on there except the console icons. Just make sure to host them on your own space.

Oh actually just checked it again and it's loaded, awesome logo - love that, like the background and buttons too. Good stuff.

Yeh we had a stupid amount of members with 0 posts. If you do a new members search (click on members and click the button i added ;p) you'll see all these people who registered and barely posted anything. No one registered in 07 but two people made accounts this year (the hell)?

Hey but thanks for the feedback man. Weird that it didn't load first try, it's pretty graphic intensive though, too many pngs. I made the background resize depending on resolution, if youve got a 1600 reso the backgrounds completely different as well.

I know a bunch of you visited there, anyone else have any critisms or stuff that didn't load etc?

There doesn't seem to be much beef on the staff board, where are the topics that most forums have so the mods/admins can bitch about regular members etc?

What staff board are you talking about? There were like three of them and they're all hidden. I'm sure I showed them to you before though.

Nah, i never saw any of the hidden stuff.

All i've ever seen is what's in the archives now.

We've had a lot of cool people over the years. It's odd how people that where around so long just phased off completely.

Like most recently (although over a year ago now) people like NDK & Rob, that "Goodtimes" dude. Didn't that DarkYoJimbo guy make a cameo here a while ago though, that was random.

It's always cool to have someone make a comeback.

Looking at the member list we've had Manu and Bec make small appearances here, Sweet C (sweetcorn), lumpolard. They were all decent regulars in the past, some more regular than others but all were cool peeps.

What the hell ever happened to PGF's resident lurker, Michael. ?

The only new member we seemed to get by random who stayed for a while was that chessaholic dude, he seems to of dissapeared though.

People get busy though, I understand that...back in the old days though PGF was huge and I'm suprised more people havent curiously stumbled back across it.

PGF has played quite a big part in my early-ish internet experience. I was using the internet a while before I came onto the original PGF, but I was barely ever using message boards, and discovered a whole new world of people, conversation, and just general internet know-how with people linking to alsorts of sites and stuff.

I had only been on the net for about 3 months when i came here, and it showed. ¬.¬

I was sort of raised on the original PGF. ;p Not really but, i started using the internet when i first came accross the old nintendo boards (aged 13 or something). Anyone remember them? Doomspoon, Cube, and a whole bunch of other guys all came from there. PGF was basically the third forum i ever used, and was spawned from all the old acuk board arguments.

I always wanted it to be a community project (hence the name), where it would be everyone's forum. Whatley, Bec, Adam, and many more did way more than I ever did for the place. Most of it's popularity is down to the regulars that posted there throughout the years.

It would be nice to find some of the older posters again. It's strange to come here and see that only a handful still post when there seemed to be posters like bec who i thought would always be around a little bit atleast.

Whatlety, if you're up for it, I don't know how much access you have over members accounts on the old board, but if i admin you again you'll be able to see the emails of most members. Might be worth sending out some emails? See who's still out there.

Just a thought anyway. =)

PS. It's really awsome that you guys do still post here. Hopefully no one else vanishes through the years to come. ;p
