I've been living here for my whole life. Yeah, here. Here is Sara Point Beach, up in northern Massachusetts. They call it Sara Point, I call it paradise. The days are lazy, full of picnics at the beach, sunshine and ninety-degree tempuratures, not to mention gorgeous surfer boys. The nights are cooler, so get wrapped up in your boyfriend's hoodie and toast s'mores.
There's a group of us that have been here forever. We all know each other, and we've come to be the best of friends. It's kind of a miracle that despite all our differences, we know that we put each other first. It's just this kind of unspoken code we have. They call us the townies. We call ourselves the Saras.
But not everything is perfect. Recently, an annoying bunch of kids--we call them the Summers--decided to come and ruin everything. Maybe that's harsh, but still. The guys force themselves into all our restaurants, and they steal all the good waves. The girls obsess over our guys. Sure, some of them are sweet, but I'll never get used to them just barging in to take over the summer.
Some of us have a lot of money, and so do most of the Summers--but some of use aren't all that blessed with great financial endeavors. We make do with what we have, and it doesn't matter to us at all. Sara Point is our heaven, and we're happy with just being here.
So c'mon. Let's head down to the beach. After all, you're one of us now. Welcome to Sara Point.
