Since private messages are indeed private, you can, of course, say whatever you want in them.

Let it be known, then, that if I get just one complaint about offensive language being used in PMs after a member has already told you to stop, the member at fault will be stripped of the private message system. Period.

That isn't to necessarily say that you can't use profanity in private messages, but if a certain member does not wish to read such language and asks you to stop, you better stop.
