See any good concerts lately? Any concerts coming up?

2008 was my year of concerts. I saw a shitload of bands, and missed a couple shows I wish I could've made...

I've seen Radio 4, Ladytron, The Long Blondes (saw what may have been their last show ever...they broke up a few months after the guitarist fell ill =\ ), The Faint twice, Gang of Four, !!!, Stereolab, Love is All, A Certain Ratio, of Montreal... biggrin.gif

Many were good, a couple were fucking awesome, like the Stereolab show. I walked past the lead singer, but I didn't say anything...boo. There were a couple 'meh' concerts. The Faint were phenomenal the first time I saw them, but then I saw 'em in November and...the venue was ok, and I was getting a cold, so it wasn't as enjoyable.

I missed seeing Vampire Weekend, the show sold out before I got around to purchasing my ticket. ><

As for upcoming shows...I'm seeing Cut Copy in March, which I'm really excited for. I may see a couple other shows coming up soon...

I was at the big inaugural concert recently. That was pretty cool. Best part for me was hearing Bono live.

I haven't seen a show nor concert since my UConn days (except for the Enfield 4th of July festival, but that was back in 2005). My favourite shows I went to were Margaret Cho and Dave Chapelle

2008 came with too many concerts to count. I went to the Cisco Ottawa's Bluesfestm and saw many bands live. Except Fergie. I made a point not to go that day.

Last concert I went to was Disturbed.

It seriously went like this: I was laying on my couch talking to Kristen, my friend beeped in on the call, said he had an extra ticket and the show started in an hour.

I like Paramore.

I have RBF's album Cheer Up autographed by all 35950 members of the band at Warped Tour many many moons ago.

Were that I had money to go, but I'm already apparently going to a concert this March... well, maybe. I guess I don't know anymore.

My friend who goes to, like, 10 times more shows than I do is apparently good at sneaking into them, depending on the venue...but it's not something he does frequently unless he needs to, and moreso for friends.

I myself have paid for most of the shows I've seen...one was a free street festival.

In March I'm going to be seeing Great Big Sea, twice... two days in a row in two different cities. Thankfully I live in one of those cities. Haha.

I went to go see Metallica in DC in January. Best. Concert. Ever.

I also saw Hatebreed last year, Lamb of God, In This Moment, Killswitch Engage, Down, etc. etc. Concerts are my one vice. I love seeing bands live. Saw Saliva a couple of days ago, that was pretty awesome. I think it was my 7th Saliva show, lol.

As for anything coming up... I was supposed to go see N*E*R*D again this Friday, but my friend Taren is having her birthday and wants me to stay. Lame. sad.gif I want to go see In This Moment again with Mudvayne in Richmond coming up soon. I just saw that Skindred's coming back... eh. That's all I know for right now.
