Christian Homosexuals, How to relate in a Christ-like way

Over the past year or so, I have had a friend go from confessing to me that he was struggling with same sex attraction to accepting that this is the way he is and he can't change it. This guy is a believer who has essentially given up on God's power to transform his life and has decided to embrace the momentary happiness and fulfillment that a homosexual lifestyle brings him.

So my question for discussion is how to love him like Christ loves him and continue to speak truth into his life as he retreats further and further away from Christian community. And we can extend this to any number of other people (let's limit it to Christians for the time being) who identify themselves as homosexual.

A great place to start may be John 8 where Jesus interacts with the woman caught in adultery.

Let's start from the assumption that homosexual acts are sin and contrary to God's will.

I too know some self-proclaimed Christians that are homosexual. In the end, it comes down to the person's interpretation of the Word.

You can still love the person for who they are, just not support what they do.

I try not to condemn them. But I would probably point out that if God made them that way then He would also provide an option for them to be fruitful and multiply.
