Hunting down a NES 2 (Top Loader)

That new NES I got is still working and everything, but it is very cheaply made and I am looking to sell it before it craps out on me. So I figure the best thing for me to do if I wanna play my NES games is to get the NES 2 Top Loader system. I looked at them when I first was looking for a new NES but they were way expensive. Now I got some cash to spend and I'm lookin at some on eBay. There are some cons though:

The NES 2 lacks the AV jacks, it only has the RF output.

There are sometimes problems with the games with scan lines running vertical on the screen.

Expensive!


Other than that it is pretty sweet, I wanna get a NES to last and its a problem with buying non Nintendo brand. I know the FC Twin consoles hold up well but I don't need a new SNES and I wouldn't be able to use the Zapper on it!

I think the most I'd spend is $50 for the console and controllers and all the cords. Plus extra for some games.

Oh, I think you can get a Zapper that works with the Twin thingy.
They have it over at Game Over by my school.

When you said you're getting a PS3 controller for emulators, I think I'm going to, too for mine.
I'll put Halo on my computer and use the PS3 controller! It'll be soo coool!

Sweetness, I set up my PS3 controller with my desktop and it works great with emulators. I think it might be a little tougher to get it to work on my laptop though.

as for the scan lines, ive never seen that, and im pretty sure both nes's use the same cord, so u can get a AV cord for it.

I checked it out on Wikipedia and it said the NES 2 only had an rf output .

Whilst searching for various wares at the local Bazaar, *cough* Flea Market *cough*, I happened to stumble upon a man selling classic game consoles.

He was selling an NES for 30$, and a SNES for 60, I think.
I was thinking abut buying them before anyone else, but I wasn't sure.
I'll probably buy one of the two next time I go.

I went to the Goodwill and saw a Spaderman.
I also saw a lot of those classic consoles and got 3 Sega systems and hoped that I could sell them for a profit... It's been a few weeks and no replies from craigslist....

I would like to get rid of mine for around 20 dollars each. The Saturn should be sold for 40, though.
