Elementals and Shapeshifters have been living in the government funded research compound for many years, those even more unlucky have been born and raised in the compound, though over the years they have come to call it home. Forming their own council to run the place from the inside, though always aware of the scientists that held them in place with harsh words and even heavier hands.

Though now that the scientist McCallum has taken over the compound, things have changed. Peace and stability were brought to the island, as well as the strange creatures that became swiftly known as Hybrids. Creatures of McCallum's own design but can one man play God indefinitely without reprisal?

Word of their top geneticist's compassion and idealism could not escape the vigilant ear of Senior BSIRC officials forever as they search for ways to test the limits of McCallum's empathy for his subjects as well as his loyalty to the greater good. Placing a spy among McCallum’s own scientists is a start. How much further would the BSIRC go to reign in their maverick genius? How far will McCallum go to keep his ideals? In a world where surviving is the biggest struggle will any of it matter in the end?
