Raid sighed as he rolled along. He hadn't been able to stock up or drop off Gauze. Aw well, maybe he'd be able to meet some more Pokémon that would gladly help. He had heard about how friendly Pokémon in the Avalanche Gorge were. Err, could be.

Krush was rolling them after Sawtooth, an Aerodactyl. Stonz, his friend, had taken off with Papyrus, his baby Charmander, for some strange reason. As soon as he met up with the Charmander he'd catch him so Stonz couldn't.

Unfortunatey, they were too fast and were out of sight soon enough. Krush slowed to a stop, and unrolled. His eyes were those anime-swirls, indicating dizziness. Woah...everything is spinning...did we catch them?
"No...unfortunately. But no Pokémon can fly for that long without a rest. They'll have to land soon." Up high, a Fearow was flying.

Maybe the trainer on the Fearow could help! Or he could be the one with the Shadow Baller that had taken out Crimson. He sighed, and sat down. They would never see Papyrus again. It was obvious. But... Stonz couldn't know what he was doing. He just had to be out of his mind! Maybe through sheer willpower he'd break free of watever curse was cast on him...

Just then, Sawtooth was visible in the air. She landed nearby, panting. I was able to sneak away from him. I noticed that he had a little red thing in his hair, but I couldn't take it out. He thinks I'm scouting for more Pokémon. She looked back in the direction she flew from. I can take you to him, but I need to rest, first.

Raid looked at her curiously. "What do you mean, red thing? And how can we trust you? Have you... did you eat PAPYRUS? YOU DID, DIDN'T YOU?" He was losing it. Yeah. Majorly losing it.

What!? NO WAY YOU MORON!!! I'm trying to HELP you here! Trial appeared. It's true. I checked for a "red thing", and read her mind. She isn't lying.
THANK YOU. But if you don't need my help, maybe you can try catching up to him on foot. She turned away, about to take off. Delta ran up. NO! We need your help to find Papyrus! He don't know how to find his way back! She turned around, sighing.
Fine. But Raid needs to trust me for it to work.

"What did you have in mind, Sawtooth?" Raid asked. If it involved fir of any kind other than the Pokémon, it was a definate no. He hoped it wouldn't involve him working with plants, either. Or else his gift may just... break through...

Well, by what I can tell, the sensor thing doesn't change any other things than his thoguhts and decisions. Stonz's attention span isn't that great. Maybe...just maybe...I can distract him long enough for one of you to get Papyrus. Apparently she was only blunt, not coldhearted. A distance away, in a cave, an Abomisnow was watching them carefully.

Raid smiled. He had he judged her entirely wrong. He looked at the Aerodactyl. "Only one quick question: How are you going to get us all there? Well, that was a stupid question. I just recall everybody and Crimson rides shotgun. What more is there to it?"

Exactly. Now come on. We can't let the little squirt down, can we? Krush returned himself, and the Pokeball went into Raid's hand. Crimson waited for Raid to get on. Once he did, Sawtooth took off, flying up. SHe landed in a patch of thick bushes, and gestured bast them. Hide out here for now.

Raid looked around. Bushes. Hiding. He could do that. "Stay here, Crimson. Stonz can see you, remember? Well, this could end up being a bad thing. Mainly because you're a giant. I can stay hidden easier." Then he crept off in the direction Sawtooth had gone. When he was far enough away from Crimson, he looked at the bushes, closed his eyes, and breathed deeply. He saw the bushes in his mind's eye, and imagined them closing in to form a thicket.

They did, but not enough for them to notice it happening. From where he was, he could see Sawtooth talking with Stonz. He could also see Papyrus bound and gagged a the base of a large pine tree. Horrible to see, but saving him would have to wait until there was an opprotunity.

Raid went back and motioned to Crimson. "There's this perfect little shelter right by the campsite! And Papyrus is bound and gagged by a tree, so I'm going to have to hope that this works... but no, I can't do that... ah well, let's move!" Raid led the way back, hoping Crimson wouldn't figure out how it became so perfect.

Um, he could read minds. But he really could care less. "Okay. And it looks like Sawtooth distracted Stonz." Stonz was leading Sawtooth away from the site, and she looked at them, and gestured for them to go get Papyrus. The tiny Charmander was weeping, and looked overall miserable.

Raid crept forwadrs, and stole over to Papyrus, untying him as quickly as possible. He hoped he could get this done with soon, and then, maybe, just maybe, he could get Stonz back to normal.
