Josh entered Aquarius City, nervous. In his arms was an injured Skarmory. Charizard was the only Pokémon of his out, and a Pharobol and another Skarmory followed him. "I need to find the Pokémon Center...where is it!?" He was mainly thinking out loud.

It was indeed an odd sight, a trainer with a shiny Skarmory, most definately on the verge of death, a regular Skarmory, and a Charizard. The Pokémon Center was pointed out be several people, in sheer awe of the majesticness that was your "team". A speedboat quickly loaded you on and took you to an island nearby. A red roofed building stood there.

Josh thanked the driver, and ran inside the building. "Nurse Joy! We need help!" He ran up to the counter with the injured Skarmory. "She was injured, and I'm not sure if she's going to make it." He was breathing heavily, scared.

Nurse Joy looked at the poor bird. She sniffed its breath. "Good, you gave it rubbing alcohol. Regular would have been better, but I'm guessing since you're underage you didn't have any. Ooh, a SHINY Pokémon. We can't let this one die. Of course, we don't let any Pokémon die here." She pulled out a huge bottle of alcohol from beneath the counter. Steel Pokémon couldn't get drunk, and alcohol helped them to regenerate. She poured it down KK's beak, and splashed some more onto her body.

Josh watched in anticipation. He was very nervous. Charizard had been close to death many times, and Josh didn't want to see a Pokémon die right before his eyes. He turned to FM, and pet his head. "She'll be alright, buddy."

FM looked up to Nurse Joy, and opened his mouth. Here came the questions. The song was Can You Feel the Love Tonight, from the Lion King. Old, but a good song. Obviously, KK recognized it and lifted her neck to see her sweetheart singing to her. That's right, singing, not playing. It couldn't actually play them, just sing them perfectly like the humans who had written them. Maybe it was their love song, or something, because she smiled as she was rolled to the back room.

It was the first time Josh realized this. "That's amazing, FM. I'll be right back. I have to go to the bathroom." He went into the rest room, and Charizard looked down at FM. When you tried to tell us something earlier...I knew how you felt...I'm an outcast, too...

FM embraced Charizard, happy to have a friend.

Back in the gorge, the army was approaching. It was headed by a purple Snover, somehow, and it had purple sensors under its fur. Something new from Falconer, I bet. Its eyes were red, and it was leading its troops to Aquarius City.

Charizard smiled, and sat down on the ground. You were an outcast from your voice. I was from my personality. I hated fighting, and where I came from, that determined your place in the group. But...then I met Josh, and he didn't care. And I can tell that he already likes you. Do you want to join the team? Charizard smiled warmly, trying to lighten the air.

FM seemed to consider it. Only if... KK's okay... He was talking, talking and crying. A Skarmory crying was an odd sight indeed, especially when it's being comforted by a Charizard. Josh chose that exact moment to finish up his business, and groaned. Were they going to embarass him?

But he threw that thought out of his head. He walked over, and stroked FM's neck. "It's okay. She'll be perfectly fine. Nothing will happen to her." Charizard gave FM one of his signature hugs, dispite it having all the comfort of hugging a tin can (at least for Charizard). She's strong. There's no way that she will die.

No... she... isn't. She's... not very... strong... at all... FM hadn't talked in a long time, his voice sounded rusty. No, really, rusty. Like his throat was covered in rust. It was obvious they were both outcasts. FM for his singing, KK for her color.

"But I know she loves you enough to hang on through this. You have nothing to worry about." Gewing came out, knowing what happened, and wanting to help comfort FM. Josh reached in his backpack, taking out a jawbreaker. "Here, FM. Usually, eating something sweet helps to make people feel better."

FM happily swallowed the candy in one piece. Got any more? Josh handed out the rest of them to the Skarmory. FM was planning to give himself a toothache or something, anything to snap him out of his mopey state. He decided to go for making the others laugh, and used Double Team so there were four of him. Then he began to sing. Not a song, just singing instead of talking. He was a natural barbershop quartet!

Josh smiled. If he was going to join them, he'd be the perfect contest Pokémon. "Encore, Encore!" Josh was glad that FM was in a good enough mood to do this for them. Charizard clapped, impressed.
