QUOTE (raconteur @ Apr 14 2012, 10:38 AM)
Happy 100th anniversary Santos Futebol Clube.

Obrigado!

The Paulistao semifinals are set after two shocks this weekend as Guarani shocked Palmeiras while Ponte preta upset Corinthians. Santos and Sao Paulo each won and will meet in one semifinal, between the two clubs now favored to win the title while Guarani x Ponte Preta will face off in the semifinal of the upsets.

Neymar adds to his growing reputation with a hat trick in Santos 3-1 win over Sao Paulo in the Paulistao semifinals. They now advance to the final where they will face Guarani who also won 3-1 over their city rivals from Campinas, Ponte Preta.

A well taken penalty, a finish after a nice pass from ganso and then a shot from outside the box, Neymar did it all yesterday. he is in the form of his life right now. Willian Jose, playing due to Luis fabiano's suspension, scored Sao Paulo's lone goal.

Neymar and Santos had something to prove after Sao Paulo had beaten them in the league portion of the Paulistao. But this was all neymar in this semifinal and Santos will be heavy favourites against Guarani to win their 3rd consecutive paulista state championship.

Looks like Neymar's decision to remain in Brasil and play for Santos is paying off for both him and the club.

Santos beat Guarani in both legs, 3-0 and 4-2, to win their 3rd consecutive paulista championship.

Besides the phenomenal form of Neymar, and the improved play from both Ganso and Elano, Alan Kardec, a young forward has been playing so well that he now starts ahead of Borges, last season's top scorer in the Brasileirao!
