Spotlight effect

In this tutorial you will end up you will something like this.

Ok open your image you want to add the effect to and make a new layer on it (layer>new>layer) then select your elliptical marquee tool.

Make a big circle that touches the top and the bottom of your image. Like this
and fill it with white. Then stroke it 1 pixel black, and set the blending mode to soft light.
By now you shuld have something like this,
Now go to imageready (file>jump to>adobe imageready 7.0)
Now duplicate the current frame.

Now with the 2nd frame selected move the circle to the right side of your image. Now hold shift and click your first frame with the 2nd frame selected while doing so, like this

now click tween animation frames button(to the left of duplicate frame button) and add 40 frames.
Then duplicate the last frame and move the circle to the left of your image and tween it again.
Thats it! your done.
you should have gotten something like this.
