Hello all, this is an amazing site y'all have here. I am a former modeler from the mid '60s thru the early 80's and circle track stock cars of just about any type is what I dig. I really still enjoy looking at great models. Altho I can't contribute anything to the forum as far as the cool work I've seen here it appears custom HO slot cars are not represented so I will post a couple of my builds in the slot car section if I can learn how to do pics on this site.

Keep up the good work---DAC

Thanks for the fast welcome! We are in a semi rural area just east of Rapid City. We used to get to the races in Gillette several times a year but we just haven't been able to get over there since they built the new track. Maybe next summer!

Got any advice on posting pics? I thought it would just let me browse my hard drive like when I did the avatar but I cant figure it out. Can't find a FAQ.

Thanks again---DAC

Welcome to theLobby DAC! The best way to post pics is to use a Photobucket or Fotki account. Both a free picture hosting sites. Here is the way to use Photobucket, which is the one I use,

Thank you all for the enthusiastic welcome, but I mouthed off before I could deliver. My Windows 98 phoneline setup locks up in Photobucket. I have an account but they changed something over there and I just can't get it to work any more. I still keep getting the email "your account had 27 new views this week" but I cant look at it. I never was real comfortable storing my pics out there in cyberspace. Yeah I know (hanging head) we are almost 10 years into the new millenium and I'm still using this old junk. I'm afraid this is the first site I have encountered this problem.

Yes Dr. Dremel you are correct. Jim Holland told me of this site 2 or 3 years ago and he told me Chuck Hand was a contributor, so I'm gonna assume that it is you!
It's been several years since I have gone to the annual model show but I was absolutely amazed with a street Daytona or Superbird that you had entered. I dig your Red Champion, King Tut Cafe avatar.

Anyway I apologise that I didn't do the research before I posted. Since the avatar was so easy to load I assumed pics would be the same.

Once again I apologise for puttin' the cart before the horse. I tried for a few hours tonite to get a small pic loaded thru Webshots with no luck.

Wish I would have checked into this before I posted, but I can't take it back now. I will still admire the modeling skills that y'all have from time to time, and maybe someday I will be technically advanced enough to post pics.
