Old Sprinter -
Well, I am completely blown away! These cars are nothing but AWESOME. It shows the level of artistry that you have reached: A True MASTER! Anyway you can take a picture of one of these cars sittin next to a 1/24 th scale sprint? I know that these are huge, but it would really give us a good perspective of the size. Also, do you have a picture with a couple of your cars together? Thanks for sharin your great work with us! Thank you; here's a picture I took for someone else, awhile back. I don't have any 1/24 scale cars so this is a 1/18 scale die cast I have had for years sitting next to the first sprinter I was building. Since I build these for customers back in Indiana, they don't stay around my house too long but I did take a picture of the first two together.

OK, Old Sprinter, many Thanks! Wow, your work just overwhelms the scenses - I mean, look, in 1/18 a sprint car is impressive, and now we can tell how big your sprints really are! To see a couple together in one photo is, well, too cool! When the winged version is complete I know it will be super! Speakin of super, any chance you will undertake a pavement Super Mod? Just curious - always watchin for ways to improve my modelin - thanks!!

Thanks again Dave; I have built one pavement super when I first started a year and a half ago. I was my first race car I bought and raced after I got out of the Army in the early 70s. But I have learned more about building models so I really do want to do a West Coast ( or East Coast) Super Modified as soon as I can. I love those cars. I have to finish the winged sprinter first as it's for a client and then have 10 more to do, but I'm thinking of taking a break and doing the super.

Now, THAT is one cool old Super! Reminds me of the ones that they used to race in Southern New Mexico and West Texas back in the day - late 60s to early 70s. Where did you race? We used to go to the races every Friday and Saturday night in Las Cruces, New Mexico (Sertoma International Raceway Park) and El Paso, Tx - (Sun City Speedway) and watch em run! A good family friend was the track champion for some of those years - Ivan Coffman - drove a car very similar to yours. Another racer by the name of Lawrence Cooper had one too. One fella from El Paso or Jaurez, Mexico named Mario Fuentes drove an orange car like yours too! Gees, must be gettin old! Thanks for jarrin my memory, and thanks for sharin that super! Will be watchin for your build on a West or East Coast Super!!!!
