![]() ROOKIE LADY WINS AND ITS GONNA BE A LONG WEEK FOR W9 DESJARDINS SNRA Race #9 DIRT 150 Rolling Wheels Speedway, 5/8 Mile banked Clay OvalElbridge New York, July 28, 2012 Michelle, "Mickee," "Mrs. D." Desjardins, won a pole already this year on the SNRA Super Late Model Circuit. When she landed on the outside of the front row, second only to Sarah Kelley's scorching Pole winning lap, it was beginning to appear that she was building towards something big, and tonight, at the big Rolling Wheels clay oval it happened as she scored a convincing win in the SNRA DIRT 150. Mrs. Mickee D. outdoes her son Wreckers 9!As the green flew Sarah Kelley jumped into the lead off the pole and led the first 5 laps of the event. There was no question though who the boss of the evening was going to be as Mickee rode the cushion around Sarah and was never headed for the remaining 145 laps, a rarity in SNRA competition. For a while, Lee Spud Loggins dogged her along with Tim Freeman in his Taurus, in the races first half and Tim hung in the top 5 all day in a fine run, but he was never close to the lead after this, and eventually finished second about 5 car lengths back at the Checkers. Dannyboy Lynch, the famous and fabulous French Canadian driver did run on fellow Canadian Mrs. D's bumper near the races midway point and Sarah Kelley who hung around the front all day, passed DAnny on the 80th lap and even got alongside Mrs. D a few laps later but could not pull off the pass. It wasn't likely she could have held out for long even in her best race of the year as Jr. Hanley flexed his dirt track knowledge, not known to many, but part of his history, in the perfect set up on the Desjardins mom's car. She still finished well in 6th, dropping back slightly near the end having spent her tires in several challenges to Mrs. D over the race. As noted, Tim Freeman, ran a very steady race and may have even been closing slightly at the end, but was too far off in the time left to come close and he took second. In some of the other truly fine drives of the day, rookie Paul Wogger ran his best race to finish 3rd a few car lengths back from Freeman. Kevin Sassman was displaying his dirt track prowess in a closing 4th at the line, followed by Chargin Charlie, who started 25th after a horrible qualifying lap but thanks to Brutus moved up all day. Kevin SassmanThat closed the top 5 out. Sarah Kelley as mentioned took 6th just ahead of Dannyboy who also used up his tires but was a fast car in 7th. The Rev. John Lutes brought his fast F150 pickup along with Dave B, to take 8th, Cayli Niemann scored another fine finish for the Freeman clan in 9th place and Clifton Marcis continued to run strong in his Thunderbird to finish 10th. Those crippled but various problems in the race were Tom Enlow who suffered a puncture, Madd Mikey the same, JLog Loggins who carried a miss throughout the race, Dave Barron who appeared to have gotten a bad load of fuel and was suffering excessive detonation throughout the race, and Chip Sears who was fast but almost vibrated himself to death with what turned out to be warped rear end carrier. Canzady Loggins was a dnf after burning a piston, Gavin Evitt turned in his first DNF of the year with a hole in the radiator, likely caused by debris from a minor accident between Tony Matthews, Leadfoot Pulley and hard luck Martin Hytla, who were nonetheless unable to continue, but suffered no injuries. Hard Luck but smooth driver, Martin HytlaMark Desjardins W9 came from 27th to 15th and needn't hang his head and was glad for his mom in victory lane, but probably rightly declared, I'll never hear the end of it! Congrats Mrs. D....to you and the team on a big win. A very impressive driving performance, we were all chasing the yellow rookie stripe in the end.
And hats off to Dave and Brutus on the points lead, much deserved after fighting back from some early season set-backs. Hints the Chargin piece of the name...... We must have mixed up quick change rear ends last week while back at the shop, as Chip suffered the same kind of mechanical failure in this weekend's Dirt 150 as I did the weekend before....hope that we did not mix my quick change with his as a result of too many brews, yikes!?! Speaking of which, looking forward to not only being in the land of the greats such as Jr. Hanley, but also excited to taste a cold frosty Molsen after the race. Time to mix it up Canadian style.......eh! Safe journeys to all traveling north. See ya at the track. Jason |

Thanks Dave for offering to help us out. Will be honered to have some help from a team that is experianced. We will feed you all good and have some refreshments also.
Wreckers9 thank you buddy I believe we have everything we need. But as we all know there is always something that hides when it is needed to be used. Anyone that needs to do some work we have plenty of space for other teams to pop in. -------------------- I have wondered what it is like to be normal.
