Prologue

"Willyougooutwithme?" I whispered, blushing madly as I tugged on his shirt.
"What? I can't hear you, speak louder."
I took a deep breath to calm myself down and tried again still blushing.
"Will you go out with me?" I asked as I stared at his feet.
He stared at me for what it seemed like forever then he burst out laughing. I became confused and felt dumb because everyone started to laugh at me with him.
"Geez, you always get the ugliest girls to ask you out!" One of his friends next to him yelled, making his other friends laugh more loudly.
Unable to think of what to say, I ran to the girls' bathroom as fast as I can.
I locked myself in the bathroom stall, realizing that I had been crying on the way and everything looked blurry caused by my tears.

well, here goes chapter one~~


Chapter oo1

It had been almost 3 years since the last time I asked someone out or you could say the first time I asked someone out. Also it is almost 3 years since I hadn't talked a single boy except for teachers, my dad, and my brother. Now I'm in 8th grade ready to go on to 9th with my best friend, Eun yung.

Ever since the incident that happened 3 years ago, she had been with me and comforted me whenever I needed her. We spent most of our time with each other since we live right next to each other and sleep over each other's house whenever there was no school. She was like a sister to me but we both had our own siblings; irritating older brothers.

"Yuri, let's go to school!!! Hurry up or we won't make it in time for breakfast!!" Eun yung yelled through my bedroom window as I grabbed my bag.

"Okay!! I'll be out in a minute!" I quickly found the key chains that I had made ever since two months ago for all the teachers I had and ran out the door.

Eun Yung and I walked as fast as we could to school and as usual we made it in time for breakfast. ^__^

"I'm soo glad this is the last day of school! I hate the food in this school. But I just eat it since I'm hungry," I started a conversation while we were eating.

"Yeah I'm glad too but I don't think high school's going to have better food. The food's probably gonna be similar if not the same..."

"I guess but still you never know~! Hey since it's the last day of school, do you wanna wonder around other classrooms?"

"What's the point of wondering into other classrooms? They're probably going to watch same movie as our class unless they brought their own." Eun Yung replied.

Before I could talk back to her, the bell rang. Eun yung and I threw away the plates and started heading towards our homeroom. I don't know if it was just another dumb luck but ever since 6th grade, we had the same homeroom.

"Yuri yah," She said tapping on my shoulder.

"Mmm??" I responded as I turned around to look at her.

"Your shoe lace is untied." She said as she pointed at me left foot.

"Ahh. I'll tie it later" I answered looking at my left foot and looking back up at her while I continued walking.

Before I could look where I was going, I bumped into something soft. I fell to the ground frowning, and looked up to see what or I should say who I had bumped into.

"Aishh! So irritating! Watch where you're going!" Jae seop yelled, causing people around to look to see what was going on.

I froze in place blushing. Eun yung helped me up which reminded me that I was still on the ground. My body seemed all numb and I couldn't move. Eun yung grabbed my arm and dragged me all the way to the homeroom right before the tardy bell rang. She pushed me down on a chair and sat next to me and patted me on the back until I was able to move again. This wasn't the first time that I froze in front of the first/last guy that I asked out.

chapter oo2

Twenty mintues later, I was back to normal. Thanks to Eun Yung. Ms. Tanaka, our homeroom teacher turned on a movie, School of Rock and turned off all the lights except for a corner of the room so people who don't want to watch the movies can play games or read of whatever.

As I watched Ms. Tanaka, I remembered that I was supposed to give something to her.

"Ms. Tanaka, this is for you." I said shyly as I gave her a keychain with her name on it.

"Thank you! It's cute. Did you make it?"

"Y-Yes," I answered as I watched her attaching her keys to the keychain.

"I was wondering if we could go and give out rest of the gifts to other teachers." Eun Yung asked from behind me.

"Okay but don't get caught and come back before the bell rings." Ms. Tanaka responded. Her answer wasn't as surprising as it could have been. She was known as Ms. Cool among the students and lets students do anything they want as long as they finish their work and don't get themselves and her in trouble.

Eun Yung and I went out of the classroom with our bag full of gifts for the teachers that we had for 8th grade. This was something that I had been doing ever since kindergarten. (I had no choice back then since my mom forced me. Then I got into habit.)

"I wonder why people pierce their ears when it's so much trouble," I started a random topic as usual, "I mean it could get infected, closed, ripped, and stuff. It's so painful. I guess this is what you call beauty hurts?"

"So um do you want to talk about it?" Eun Yung asked, interrupting my theories about earrings.

Even though she didn't say what 'it' was I knew that it was about Jae Seop.

"No... I have nothing to talk about that." I almost snapped at her without meaning to.

"But you don't seem to get over it." She said, not really helping me feel better. -__-;;

"I will. Don't worry. I will get over with him and what had happened as soon as I get into high school. Good thing I heard he's going to all boy's school." I told her hoping that what I said is and will stay true.

We went through 10 different classrooms to give out our gifts to the teachers and went back to our homeroom five minutes before the bell.

When we got to the class, the movie was over and most kids were playing cards. Finally the bell rang and we started walking toward the gym, where the dance was going to be at.

As our class walked to the gym, we saw a big crowd near the each of four doors, trying to get in. Yes, our school is very unorganized... TT__TT

"Ah! I forgot my cards... I'm gonna go back and get it," I said noticing the deck of cards in someone's hand in front of me.

"I have the cards no need to worry," Eun Yung said as she took out my deck of cards out of her pocket. Wait, did I say my??

Eun Yung, noticing my confused face, said, "I got it from your bag because last time, you forgot it, and no one else brought cards."

"OKAY~!!" I yelled as we entered the gym.

The music, candy shop was booming so loud that not much people heard me yelling. I dragged Eun Yung to our usual place at the dance. It was like a resting place and was near the window, which means light and fresh air! ^__^

We quickly settled down and shuffled the cards as we watched people starting to dance. I started dealing the cards when a boy came up to us.

lol yayy a new chapter heheh btw what is ulzzang? i want to know more about the Korean culture to understand this fanfic hehe

well~ "ulzzang" is translated as "best face" its more of a slang. and its pronouced "ul jjang" most native koreans spell it "ulzzang" though. i think. right hye youn??? ^^

Ax-chan - ulzzang is just like what Perky-chan said. ul stands for ulgul which means face, and jjang or zzang is the best or good or thumbs up etc.. So basically it means pretty face. You don't really need to know that in order to understand the story thoughh.. ^^;;
But I'm using ulzzangs as models for the characters of my story so I guess it would be better off knowing what it is. I get the pictures from soompi or corean search engines incase you're wondering. ^^

Chapter 003

"WHAT ARE YOU GUYS PLAYING?" He yelled just loud enough for us to hear.

"Probably speed," Eun Yung answered quietly. She doesn't like to yell as much and of course there’s no way I’m going to answer him. It’s a HIM not HER. *ahem*

"WHAT?" He screamed.

Eun Yung cleared her throat like an old professor trying to get the students attention. Well, in my imagination it looked like it. "WE ARE PROBABLY GOING TO PLAY SPEED," Eun Yung yelled calmly. Is it even possible for a person to yell calmly?

"OH. I WAS WONDERING IF I COULD PLAY TOO."

Eun Yung looked at me as if she was waiting for an answer. I nodded yes and lip the word killer. It’s not like I can say no to a stranger and be mean like that. Or can I?

"OKAY THEN, DO YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY KILLER?" She asked turning back to face the boy.

"YEAH!" He screamed as he sat down.

"MY NAME IS HIROHITO!"

"MY NAME'S EUN YUNG AND SHE IS YURI," Eun Yung yelled as she pointed at me.

I just finished dealing by the time another song started to play. None of us was talking for first few games except for time to time we took turns yelling and screaming when we lost. For few minutes I stared at the boy as I admired his beautiful hair. He had an asian face and by his name, I assumed that he was Japanese. Yes, he did have a Japanese hair style and it was reddish-brownish. His face was okay; his eye looked like it had eyeliner on. He had a black shirt that looked like it was from Hot Topic (the scary store) and I saw little bit of his gorgeous belt under his shirt. He was nothing like Jae Seop, who had a yellow-brown dye hair, something like what popular kids would have, and wears preppy clothes like Hollister and Abercrombie etc..

"Oopsie," I said to myself when the card slipped out of my hand onto the ground. Hirohito tried to pick it up but I was quicker. That's when I noticed his shoes. It was a kind that skaters wear. I think it's called skater shoes or was it skate shoes?

"HOW COME YOU GUYS DON'T DANCE?" Hirohito asked, staring at his cards trying to choose which card he should put down.

"WE ONLY LIKE WATCH PEOPLE DANCE AND PLAY CARDS. THE DANCE WAS FREE ANYWAY SO YEAH." Eun Yung seemed very tired when she was yelling. Maybe it's because she never yelled so much before.

One hour later, the dance was finally over. My ear felt numb as we walked out the door. Since it was the last day of school, I saw many people crying together. I was just glad I'm going to be able to move on. Students crowded the halls as they tried to go back to class to get their things.

"Hey want to go shopping? Or we could go swimming. I just want to go somewhere since there would be nothing if we go home." Eun Yung said softly as she was tapping my shoulder. I think she would have lost her voice if she had yelled one more word.

"Yeah, I want to go somewhere too. You can choose a place to go. I don't mind as usual." I said with a smile.

"Hey, so you can talk!" Hirohito said grabbing my shoulders. Although, as soon as he grabbed my shoulders, I jerked so hard that I almost fell down on my face. T_T

"Sorry," He said, looking at me weirdly.

"Yuri, are you okay?? Wait here, I'll get our things." Eun Yung went in the classroom before I could say anything.

"So um... Are you going anywhere after this? All my friends ditched today."

I glared at him making him feel uncomfortable, judging by his face, but I nodded yes and looked away as my face started to blush.

"I know we just met but if it's okay, can I tag along with you? I mean I promise I won't bother you or anything. It's just that I have nothing else to do and yeah." Hirohito said with a cautious tone in his voice. When I looked at him, he looked kind of lonely.

I nodded (without glaring this time) when he finally looked up from the ground looking for an answer.

"Here, I decided, let's go to the mall! I wanted to look around shops and stuff." Eun Yung whispered, as she handed me my bag. Her voice sounded so hoarse!!!

"Okay and he is coming along." I told her as I pointed at Hirohito.

Chapter 004

Mall was crowded with people, mostly students from middle school. I think it was because most of the high schools near this mall doesn't get out 'till next week.

"Okay, so let's decide where to go first. Yuri, where do you want to go?" Eun Yung turned to look at me.

"Fu-n fa-cto-ry." I answered, almost singing the words. I saw Hirohito as he covered his mouth to prevent himself from laughing. As soon as he turned to look at me, I looked away blushing. I think I blush way too much in front of people. TT__TT

"Where do you want to go?" Eun Yung turned to ask Hirohito.

"Hot topic," He answered almost immediately making me think he was waiting for that question. Well, maybe he was.

"Okay, I want to go Sam goody. So we can go hot topic first, then Sam goody which is on the way to fun factory. Then we can go fun factory and have fun." Eun Yung didn't sound excited. I guess she was just tired. She is usually smiling and laughing all the time.

"Let's go eat first. I'm starving." I said as I pointed at McDonald. As soon as both of them nodded, I dragged Eun Yung to McDonald leaving Hirohito behind. I'm not going to drag a boy. I don't even want to touch them.

As Eun Yung and I stood in the line, I turned back to find Hirohito skipping toward us. What a weirdo! Does he really have any friends? If he does, I bet they are weird as he is.

"I want happy meal with sprite." I told Eun Yung as I gave 3 dollars to her. Yes, happy meal has been my favorite ever since 4th grade. And the weird thing is I never get tired of it. Then again, it might be the toys that I never get tired of. =^__^=

"I want big mac with coke." Hirohito said as he gave Eun Yung 10 dollar bill. Why is he copying me? I sighed and shrugged my shoulders.

"Um.. okay.. You guys can go find seats. I guess I will have to buy." Eun Yung said looking gloomy.

TT__TT She looks so scary! She usually isn't like this. Maybe I should have stopped her from yelling. How is it that yelling had stopped her from being happy? Arrgghh never mind!

Hirohito and I were able to find the seats pretty quickly. I dropped my bag on the table and went to help Eun Yung carry the food. Well, it's more like getting the napkins and straws.

It took us about 20 minutes to finish our lunch. Surprisingly, Eun Yung was back to normal by the time we walked out of McDonald. I guess she was acting gloomy because she was hungry. Come to think of it, she only drank milk for breakfast.

I stared at the Hot Topic store as we were getting nearer. It looked really dark and scary. I heard people talking about that store and guessed that they would be selling all those punk or gothic things but never went inside before. I guess you could say I was too scared. I stopped right in front of the store, my eyes wide open. Eun Yung looked at me and giggled as she pulled me inside. It was so quiet and dark and the smell of the store made me dizzy.

I squeezed Eun Yung's arm as if I was going to die if I didn't hold on to her arm. I jumped and fell to the ground when some kind of rock music started with loud boom. I saw people looking at me and some were trying to hide their laughter. And there stood Eun Yung besides me, covering her mouth trying to hold her laughter in. At least help me up!

"Are you okay?" A girl asked, lending me her hand.

I looked at her hand, and let her help me up from the ground. She had 3 rings on her fingers and bunch of bracelets, which looked really heavy. Her fingernails were black with red skulls on it. When I looked at her smiling face, it was impossible to not notice her heavy make-up under the dim light of the store, which I thought it matched her well considering how the same make-up would look on some girls back at school.

"Hi, Lily!" said a familiar voice in back of me as the girl smiled bigger and waved. I turned to see Hirohito coming toward us.

Hirohito introduced Eun Yung and I to Lily and decided that Lily can hang out with us since she came here alone. -__-;;

As I was waiting for Lily and Hirohito to buy something, I decided to look around the store. It was dark and scary looking at first but somehow it didn't feel as scary as before I entered the store. As soon as I spotted key chains and dolls, I walked toward it. Unlike the look of the store, many of the key chains were funny and cute. But since I only had 20 dollars that I was going to play at fun factory, I couldn't buy those adorable key chains.

"Do you like any of them?"

I looked up to see Lily standing next to me. When did she get here?!

"Ye-yeah," I whispered.

"Choose one. I will buy as a token of our new friendship." She whispered back as she smiled. Her smile was friendly but somehow, I thought this was creepy. But I still want the keychain! I looked at the key chains for about 3 minutes deciding which one I want. Finally, I pointed at the Eeyore keychain to see Lily reach out the get the key chain. She got two and walked to the counter. I followed her and saw that it was about five dollars. That's kind of expensive a simple key chain but I guess it was too late. After she had paid for it, she gave one for me and kept one for herself.

By the time we got to Sam goody, I was joking around with Lily. She was really cool and nice. I figured out that we could hang out together in high school since she was going to the same school as me.

Hirohito and Lily seemed to like Sam goody as much as Eun Yung and I do. But they listen to different kind of music from us. As we were looking through the hip-hop and R&B, they were looking through rock. I wondered toward them and looked over their shoulders to find a CD with cover that has a picture of what it seemed like a child's face but it was pure white with red around the yellow eyes.

"It's Korn," Lily said, handing me the CD. I just stared with my eyes wide open noticing the rest of the picture. It was a picture of little boy holding a headless bear. In the background, there was a bunny and a horse with human body with cloudy looking sky. The horse was holding the bear's head and bunny was holding a crown as if it was about the crown the little boy.

"Um. Maybe I shouldn't have showed it to you. Is it that bad?" Lily sounded worried as she grab the CD out of my hand.

"Wait! I'm going to buy that!" I said as I snatched the CD back. By that time, I was smiling all over looking at the CD.

"I think we really did something to her mentality." I heard Hirohito whisper in back of me as they followed me to the cash register.

"I heard that!" I said loudly trying to act angry. Which, I failed because I couldn't hold in my giggles. Wait did I just talk to a guy? Maybe the CD really did something to my mentality.

Well, good thing I had my Sam goody gift card, since if I didn't have it, then I wouldn't be able to buy the CD or I wouldn't be able to play as much at fun factory. I don't know for sure why I wanted to buy the CD, but I just wanted it really badly. The picture didn't really creep me out which I think it's weird since Eun Yung got really crept out. When I showed it to her, she screamed and dropped my brand new CD. That stupid overreacting person. I can't wait till I go home and listen to the music.

And so, we finally arrived at Fun Factory~! Yay!

"I want to take a picture! Let's go take picture! Pleeeeaaassseee~~??" I begged Eun Yung, Lily, and Hirohito for about an hour since we arrived at Fun Factory. They just kept on playing Percussion Master and DDR though. They also played house of the dead which, sort of freaked me out since there were zombies walking all over the place and ever since I watched dawn of the dead, I have been having outrageous nightmares. Once I had a dream about a zombie in my room and I hid inside a refrigerator which even in the dream, I have no idea how I got inside it.

"OKAY! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! WE'LL GO TAKE A DAMN PICTURE!" Lily and Hirohito yelled as they started to walk to the photo booth.

"But we all used up all our money so you have to pay for it." Lily told me as she sat down and showed me her empty wallet.

Well, I only inputted fifteen dollars to fun factory card, which left me $5 so I agreed to it. After all, I wanted to take picture with them and kind of forced them to take the picture with me. Although it seemed like they were just waiting for their money to run out so I have to pay for the pictures.

So we took some pictures and exchanged phone numbers and promised to meet during the summer vacation and went home.

--At home

"I'm home~!" I shouted as I took off my shoes. I tripped over some of the shoes by the door and had to find a space to put my shoes. I guessed about 5 to 6 boys came to our house.

I stood there for minute waiting for at least one sound of response. Considering that there were so many shoes, it sounded as if the house was empty. "Oppa! Where are mom and dad?" I yelled as loudly as I could.

"Shut up! They went shopping!" I heard my brother yelling from his room. I ran to my brother's room and open the door wide open to find my brother bunch of his friends with shirts off looking at me. I closed the door quickly. Why the hell are they half naked? Are they playing some strip poker or something?

"I-I'm s-sorry, I d-didn't know. Y-You guys can go on with w-whatever you were doing." I stuttered as I leaned against his door, blushing.

After, I went straight to my room, took a shower, and went to bed.

Yu Tae's point of view.

Soon after Yuri had closed the door, my friends and I stared at the door, surprised. About 5 seconds later, the room was filled with laughter.

"Hey is that your sister?" Tae Joon asked.

"Yeah. She is bit weird and irritating." I answered.

"I think she is cute. Does she have boyfriend?" Tae Joon looked at me with stars in his eyes freaking me out.

"Nope, at least I don't think so. She never brought any boys home ever since elementary. She acts as if she has a boy-phobia." I added sarcastically ignoring his eyes.

"I think Tae Joon's got a new crush" James sang.

yay~! whos tae joon???? *o* is he hott???
