Spam, Some info...

I'm just posting this, as a thread has recently been frozen for spam, and, it seemed appropriate.

What is spam?
Spam is usually classified as -
Stupid
Pointless
Annoying
Messages
Here at SVL, spam is also -
. a message/conversation that is off-topic/unrelating to the thread.
. a post containing less than 6 words. That's words, not emotes, blinkies, etc.
. double posts

What will happen if you spam?
Well, there are many things...
. For each 'spam' post, your post count will go down by 10 posts.
. The thread that has been spammed in may be temporarily frozen. especially if many members are spamming.
. If members continue to spam, they will be temporarily or permanently banned.


So please, just, don't.

Continue posting normally, just at the end make sure you're on topic with what the topic title is.

It's like going into the "Watcha doing right now?" thread and starting a conversation.
Obviously, that is not a place to start a convo. SURE you may comment on what another member was doing before, but don't start something where ___ number of people can join in and after, it gets way out of hand.
Or the "Your Current Mood" thread, don't go and put: "tired"
Give us the reason for why you're tired, and it may sound stupid, but please DO it that way.

AND ALSO, please if you see your post count has decreased significantly, DO not take your anger on other members or the mods, obviously it tells you that you've been doing some spamming.
Your post count is not everything, no need to make a big deal.
