Welcome to Roleplay Refuge; A Tapestry Of Tales!

We are not any one difficulty, but a board where brand new first-time roleplayers and old hats can come together and just have a good time writing. We offer all conceivable genres, time periods, and all manner of creatures and people. We have no applications, though we have a training section for extra help.
Let's have some fun!

Seth shook his head. "You misunderstand, madamoiselle," He rose an eyebrow, letting go of her once she was inside. "I only mean that it wouldn't be a quick death; you would suffer for a long while before the sun finally killed you. Like being burned alive."

He let the matter drop after her plea for solitude. He drew the curtains shut over the windows, the cloth thick and black, to keep the coming sunlight away.

"I leave you alone for the night," he told her quietly. "Get some rest, once the sun rises.. And we will go on the hunt tomorrow," he paused for a moment, and then added, "We'll go out to the countryside; goats and cows are agreeable to feed from."

He wasn't going to make her drink the blood of humans.. But that wasn't to say he planned to stop her if she tried. The idea was to keep her from running into any humans, though.. Otherwise she'd just hate herself even more.

She closed her eyes, her breathing eventually evening out and deepening as she mumbled sleepily, "Okay..."

Blackness closed over her quickly and she felt herself slip into a mercifully dreamless sleep...

"Remember that I am thy creature; I ought to be thy Adam, but I am rather the fallen angel, whom thou drivest from joy for no misdeed. Everywhere I see bliss, from which I alone am irrevocably excluded. I was benevolent and good; misery made me a fiend. Make me happy, and I shall again be virtuous."

--Mary Shelley in "Frankenstein."

Watch this...

Seth watched her until she fell asleep, a worried frown on his expression. With a bit of a sigh, he turned to go to his own quarters, leaving her alone to sleep on the ground. He'd intended to offer her somewhere more comfortable...oh well. She hadn't seemed to want to move.

He went upstairs, into his own bedroom; the villa wasn't as huge as it could be.. If she wanted, it wouldn't take more than a couple minutes to figure out where he'd gone. He slept in a coffin - more out of convenience than a real need for it. It shut out all of the light...rather than 98% of it.
