On October 27, 2009 it was announced on TNAwrestling.com that Hulk Hogan had signed a contract to join Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) on a full time basis. This was confirmed on October 28, 2009 on the TNA website, and indicated that Hogan would make his on-screen debut on Impact! on October 29, 2009.

This past Thursday night's TNA iMPACT with the Hulk Hogan announcement scored a 1.3 cable rating, up about 20% from previous weeks. iMPACT this week went up against the World Series, college basketball and the NBA.

Eric Bischoff was the negotiator for himself and Hulk Hogan with TNA...

What impact is Hulk Hogan really going to have? Will the rumours be true and this is the beginning of the end for Vince Russo or will they pair Bischoff and Russo back up (mental images of the dying days of WCW comes as a flashback) *shudders*

I think Russo is gone. Bubba keeps begging Hogan to fire Russo. One of Bubba's ideas came to be true:

Bubba wanted Angle to be Baby Face, and soon after that Angle turned babyface.

I don't think we are going to see Hogan wrestle - maybe a match or two, but he is going to have a major administrative type role instead.

Hogan called Bubba the other day on air and was discussing some of the things that might be happening - not sure if he is allowed to do that or not - Bubba was reminding him that there probably is a no media clause with Hogan now, but Hogan seems out of it half the time he calls anyway.

From what I gather Hogan wants to get rid of a lot of the dead weight in TNA. The people who aren't workers are going to be released - he didn't name any names but you can guess who they are.

You can count on Brian Knobbs also coming to TNA as part of management

QUOTE
Hulk Hogan spoke to Minnesota's City Pages newspaper this week and made some interesting things to say about his relationship with Vince McMahon in the 1980s, how much power he'll have in TNA and what it meant to announce his partnership with TNA at Madison Square Garden. To read the whole interview, visit Citypages.com.

Hogan claims that Vince "didn't really understand the business" after buying the company from from his father, Vince McMahon, Sr. "I moved in next door to him in Connecticut and taught him all about lifting weights and riding motorcycles and partying like a mad man; and then I taught him about the wrestling business and making money," Hogan said. "And now I'm doing that again with TNA Wrestling."

Hogan also talked himself up as the savior for TNA. He said the company agreed that he could have a "Vince McMahon role" calling the shots for TNA. Hogan says he will be "unofficially" running the promotion and will have the same if not more influence than he had during his run in WCW.

"All I told these guys was that they should give me a chance. If they didn't like what I was doing they can tell me to take a hike, but let me have the chance to come in and take a shot at it," Hogan said. "Let the fans and the other wrestlers take a look and decide for themselves what they're in to and I'm confident that I will get this thing rockin'."

Hogan is already crediting himself with generating the most buzz for TNA in its history and explains the significance of announcing his partnership with TNA Wrestling at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

"The proof is already out there. In the course of a few days we've got more buzz going for TNA Wrestling then it's had in seven years. For example, no other wrestling organization had ever been able to get into Madison Square Garden in New York for like, 100 years, because Vince owns it and his family owned it before him. So I came in and was like, 'Watch this.; And we did a press conference at Madison Square Garden."

So Hogan think's he is the saviour and creator of professional wrestling, guiding WWE(then wwf) to the situation they where at in the early 1990's and he is the guiding light in the WCW? Hogan is a big headed twat! He's going to do what he did in the WWE and WCW in TNA...I think TNA was doing great BEFORE hulk hogan! He is going to take the credit when it is down to the REAL talent like AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and Samoa Joe...NOT HULK HOGAN! He is going to change TNA into Hogan's TNA and try to rekindle the Monday Night Wars...I don't think that is a smart move as everyone was getting on enjoying WWE & TNA as Raw is mondays, Impact is on thursdays, smackdown is on fridays...Happy days for wrestling fans!

To be honest, I don't like the idea of Hogan in TNA, Russo out is good but replacing it with the old faces of the 90's is just...lame. We're trying to build the future! the new stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*facepalm followed by long sigh*

Rant Over...

Wow this sucks, sorry but Hogan is one of the reasons WCW died i feel like TNA will follow WCW. I would rather have Russo writing than Hogan, at least Russo can not push himself lol.

Bischoff and Hogan have been contacting all the free agents who are old faces in WWE/WCW like RVD, Stone Cold, John Bradshaw Layfield, Nasty Boys....what has Jerry and Jeff Jerrett done??? WHY DIXIE CARTER WHY? I'm sorry but I think this is going to be bad for TNA, just got a feeling...

Well remember when Hogan first went to WCW with the whole NWO thing, WCW was good - they were competing well with WWE in the mid 90s - the whole Monday night wars.

Hogan wants to get rid of the lazy people who aren't workers...

another thing discussed on Bubba the other day is that they might be doing away with the 6 sided rings and going back to a squared ring.

I remember those days fondly and I've recently got the rise and fall of WCW DVD and watching the rise of the nWo was simply amazing, however I'd rather if Hogan was going to just stay backstage and have his imput, but I fear he will not, and I just fear so much for TNA!
