These rules apply to the roleplaying content of the forum alone and not to any other part of the forum so please do not mistake them for anything else. A first offence will be allowed but if you’ve read these rules correctly, you shouldn’t have any problem.

1. The content of the roleplaying should not exceed PG-13 (Teen) as the forum should not exceed that content either. Any drug-related, sexual or otherwise more mature content that exceeds the recommended rating should not be used here, although if you wish to roleplay it then please take it to an instant messaging service or email.

2. Opening posts to a roleplay and introduction posts of a character should be at least two paragraphs, with one paragraph being roughly three or four sentences in length. Other posts, such as standard replies, should be one paragraph long at the minimum standard. Posts may exceed these lengths but we are quality over quantity and if posts turn to mindless drivel then we see no reason why we shouldn’t delete them.

3. Powerplaying (controlling somebody’s character without permission) and godmoding (having an extremely powerful character that can’t be killed, giving out one-hit kills) are not allowed. Characters can be powerful but everybody has flaws and even the most powerful can be defeated. In fights, if you’re making the attack, you should leave it up to the roleplayer of the other character if the attack hits or misses. Keep in mind that characters can’t keep dodging, either. Likewise if you want to kill off somebody’s character, make sure that you have permission from the roleplayer before you do kill off the character. It’s perfectly acceptable to kill off your own character if you feel the need.

4. Characters can, and I expect will, have relationships but keep in mind the type of content that is allowed. Keep physical romantic interaction to a minimum, allowing hugging, embracing and kissing, although keep in mind that these actions can be entirely platonic too.

5. Keep OOC (Out Of Character) chat to a minimum. Using it to lay down rules or information about your roleplay is okay whilst conversation about your daily life is not, as this can be used in private messaging. Any irrelevant OOC chat will be removed from posts.
