To avoid confusion as to where your characters currently are, there is a tool known as “Timestamping”. Timestamping involves posting the date of the roleplay – the day, the month and the year – so that your character is occupied on that day. Luckily, the days, months and year in Ratropolis are the same as our own, so there should be little confusion in that area.
A timestamp is normally posted in the out of character before you begin with the introduction to the roleplay, so it would look something like this:
Or any other variable, as long as it includes the time, day, month and year (although I guess the year isn’t always necessary).
Timestamping prevents confusion as to where your character is on a particular day – so say that Bob was occupied at Piggadilly Circus at 12:50am on the 15th February, he couldn’t be in Port Maus at the same time. He could, however, be at Port Maus at, say, 2:20pm on the same day, as long as you mentioned somewhere that he passed that way. However, to avoid confusion, it’s generally a better idea to keep your character in one place for one day.

You never know what might happen.
There is also a limit to how long before and after the current date you can roleplay on. For the moment, I’m going to say it’s maybe best to keep it to the current month, or keep it to a couple of weeks before or after (so, say, if it was the first of Mach, you could still roleplay up until about the seventeenth of February till the fourteenth of March), but keep it around the current date, I’d say. It’d be easier.

If you have any more questions or if you’re confused, PM me and I’ll try and make it better. XD Or I could ask Kim to write this for you all, because she asked me on short notice and I realised how bad I am at writing this, haha.
