Heatnix, Shinobi of the Flame

Here is my profile, errybody. Granted, it's just a sample, and yours doesn't necessarily need to be like this, but this is also the one I'm using for the entire forum.


Name: Heatnix (Magojiro Katsuya)

Age: 21

Class: Shinobi Master

Description: About 6' tall, brown spiky hair and red eyes. Usually wearing Black hakama pants with a black and red samurai vest. Has a red shirt that comes up and forms a nose-height face mask. Wears armor on his left arm and nothing on his right. Red tabi boots on his feet complete his battle wardrobe. Red flame-like rune markings glow on his right arm during battle.

When not in battle, he usually can be found wearing black jeans, a black face mask, and his favorite black "NINJ4" hoodie, with a single katana hanging horizontally on his back.

Special moves: Heatnix is a master of many schools of swordplay, having learned the art of the sword from a very young age. Though he is a trained shinobi, he loves to face his opponents head-on more than anything else, leading other shinobi to mockingly call him "the Samurai", which he actually enjoys. He is constantly on the lookout for a sword style that he cannot defeat, so that he may master that one as well. So far, he has been disappointed. Of specific note are Heatnix's swords themselves. He has had each of these blades bonded to his soul, so that he may summon them at any such time as is necessary, without the need to waste chakra or time by conventional summoning. Where they go when he has no need for them, even he does not know.

Of the Triforce, he is physically the slowest, making up for his lack of speed with raw strength, making him the "tank" of the group. Though one wouldn't say he has super-strength, he has been known to surprise even those close to him with it at times.

Heatnix's most powerful fighting asset is his True Fire Rune. It gives him almost complete control over the manifestation of heat and flame, really only limited by his inexperience with such a powerful form of the rune. As his experience grows, so do the flame-like markings that appear on his arm in battle. While the rune is certainly very powerful, it is not the focus of Heatnix's fighting like his swordsmanship due to the fact that he is not spectacularly gifted with projectile techniques.

Bio: Heatnix grew up a fairly normal child in Beat Town, a small town in southern Japan. The only thing one might not consider normal about him would have been the "exercise" that he went through as a boy with his father. These activities the two engaged in were often strength and agility training in the dense forest surrounding the town, as well as intense training in the art of the katana since Heatnix was four years old.

At age 16, Heatnix's father was brutally murdered in a massacre that destroyed all of Beat Town. It was then that he found out that his "exercise" was, in fact, ninja training, and that his entire life, the power of the rune of fire had been within him, locked away so that he might have a chance at a peaceful life. Upon receiving his father's katana, Caliburn, Heatnix's powers were awakened. He fled Beat Town with his friend Xenith to a nearby hidden shinobi village, the true place of his birth, and completed his shinobi training.

Spurned by the loss of his parents, Heatnix sought out revenge on the one who had taken them from him: the Demon King, Nobunaga. This man had once been Heatnix's father's best friend, and a powerful shinobi in his own right. Now, this man had the blood of the citizens of Beat Town on his hands, which Heatnix could not forgive.

Very soon after setting out on their journey, Heatnix and Xenith met a wind shinobi from a village to the north, known as Shiro. The two found that he had very much in common with them, and the three quickly decided to travel together. Thus was the beginning of the legendary Triforce. The name of these three shinobi quickly spread throughout the lands as an unstoppable force out to change the world for the better.

During his travels, Heatnix also met a Nature Shinobi named Aiko. The two built a home outside the city of Ellsworth. In more recent history, Heatnix has moved out of the house, constantly traveling and looking for new ways to right wrongs on his own. Though their love did not last, the two remain good friends, often exchanging valuable information by messenger hawk.

Continuing to travel and expand his collection of swords, Heatnix was finally able to follow one of Nobunaga's henchmen back to his lair. It was no small wonder that Heatnix had never been able to find it before; it was concealed at the center of the Earth, in the City of the Damned, also known as the Purgatory of Hell. Catching up with his lifelong nemesis, Heatnix finally engaged Nobunaga in inescapable single combat.

Nobunaga's abilities were able to affect Heatnix's mind, weakening his resolve for the first time in his illustrious shinobi career. Nobunaga was even able to possess Heatnix with one of his demons for a short period of time. However, in the midst of the hard-fought battle, the True Fire rune was awakened within Heatnix. Using this newfound power, he was finally able to end the terrible rule of the Demon King once and for all, allowing his parents to finally rest in peace.

Now, Heatnix lives for adventure. Permanently stuck at the age of twenty, he roams the lands, constantly on the lookout for ways to make the world a better place. It is this journey which led him to the city of Tanza...

Weapons: Though not always seen carrying a weapon, Heatnix should always be considered armed and dangerous. He carries the short swords, Holy War and Hell War. Though not as structurally sound as many other legendary swords, they do hold small control over the flames of Heaven and Hell, respectively. Holy War has a gold-wrapped handle, with a white, semicircular handguard and a white blade with gold engravings running down the blood groove. The Hell War looks identical, save that the white is replaced with black, and the gold is replaced with red.

Heatnix's more commonly used swords are twin katana, known as Red Lotus and Black Lotus. These swords were infused with the chakra of their creator, making them extremely sturdy, and holding moderate amounts of flame and darkness chakra, respectively. Neither has a handguard, due to the fact that their creator believed in an offense so strong that no defense was needed. This reminds Heatnix of Caliburn, and is the reason he was attracted to the swords in the first place. Both look like standard katana with no handguard. The wrapping on Red Lotus is black, as are the endcaps to the hilt. The blade is solid red, with the kanji for "fire" inscribed near the hilt. Black Lotus has the same black endcaps, but dark maroon handle wrapping. The blade is solid black, with the kanji for "shadow" inscribed near the hilt. When chakra flows through the blades, they glow the colors reflected in their names.

Heatnix's prized possession is a nodachi, now known as either Ex-Caliburn, or Shin Masamune. Its handguard and endcap are a worn color that once could have been silver, but has faded in brilliance due to use. The wrappings on the handle are solid black. The blade, almost as long as Heatnix is tall, is white, and is quite possibly the sharpest blade in existence. This sword, crafted by the legendary swordsmith Masamune, was forged from five other Masamune blades (including Heatnix's old sword, Caliburn) specifically to be used against Nobunaga. This blade is capable of handling all elements, and can even change shape when used in conjunction with the energy of the True Runes, changing to match the style of that particular element.

Strengths: Heatnix's sixth sense is profoundly expanded, due to countless hours of meditation. This, combined with almost unshakable resolve, makes him seemingly unstoppable in close-range combat. The fact that he wields a True Rune, and is never actually unarmed, makes him hard to predict by his opponents.

Weaknesses: If it means the protection of his friends and loved ones, Heatnix is a sap who will do just about anything. While most would consider that a strength, it has been used to his disadvantage far too many times. Because his True Fire Rune increases his lust for battle, he often jumps headfirst into fights without knowing all the facts first, although this is most often in defense of his friends. While he is a master of head-on combat, his sense of justice can make him a little naive, leaving him open to surprises.

Due to some recent events, and the fact that I didn't like some of the wording in parts of my bio, I rewrote most of it. Only thing I'm concerned about is, this does affect the story of the forums, albeit a very small change for characters other than my own.

... WOOHOO! I'm not the first to edit their character!

It wasn't just my character. There was even stuff in the Raid I had to go back and edit for this. It was a lot of work.
