In order to keep things interesting around here, I'm opening this topic to two lucky (or unlucky) RPers who want to compete for a prize. We'll have two people battle it out, and we'll have the forum Admins judge who the winner should be after it comes to an end. Here are the rules:

1. Anyone can join, but this fight is a one on one. So the first two to post will be our contestants.

2. Should an Admin want to join, he will be judged just as equally as a normal member by the remaining admins. In the off chance that two admins wish to battle, then the remaining admin will choose another person to help them judge.

3. The prize for the winner will be decided when the battle is over based on creativity and individuality. If you use a friggin kamehameha and turn super saijin (or however the hell you spell that), you prolly won't get a good score on creativity. So use detail, and MAKE THIS INTERESTING FOR CHRISSAKES!!! Possible awards could include: A hug, a block of cheese, Mod status (if you deserve it), or even some gold/items on Gaia Online (if you have a Gaia account that is).

4. If you lose, shut the hell up.

This has been the rules portion of this topic. Thank you.

So be sure to sign up. This is for good clean fun, and a potentially awesome prize. So good luck!!

Ask Heatnix. If he won't respond, I'll play. I'm bored.

Geoff walked onto the arena floor and surveyed the crowd. Thousands had come to see this fight, even though there wouldn't be any fatalities of the combatants. They came because of the rumored skill of the two participants.

Geoff set his pile of weapons down near his entrance and lined them up in an orderly fashion. He had enough weapons to arm an entire militia and he planned to use all of them in this fight. He adjusted his belt, which held a shortsword, a flanged mace, and two axes before loosening his broadsword in its scabbard on his back. He counted the knives he had in their various sheathes and then hefted a spear and shield and walked to the center of the arena and stood, soaking in the cheering of the crowd.

Geoff waited patiently for Heatnix to arrive.

It is then that Heatnix finally reveals himself, making his way towards the ring. The crowd goes crazy at the first sight of him.

As the anticipation amongst the crowd continues to grow, the festive music playing over the intercom of the arena slowly dies down, creating an almost excruciating amount of tension in the stands. Suddenly, a voice is heard.

"Ladies and Gentleman, we would like to welcome you to todays exhibition matchup between Geoff the Mighty Warrior, and Heatnix, the Master Flame Shinobi and reigning champion!!"

The crowd erupts, like time bomb finalizing it's count down. It's not until the crowd finally begins to regain composer, that a massive tornado begins to take form in the center of the arena. The dark cloud continues to billow faster and faster, causing a vicious case of disorientation to any fan unfortunate enough to look too closely. Suddenly, a beam of light shoots up the center of the tornodo, and high into the clear, cloudless sky. Then, without warning, the tornado explodes from the inside out, propelling a contained blast that still nearly upheaves various fans from their seats. As the dust begins to settle, the crowd makes out the mysterious silhouette of a figure to be none other than Shiro, Master of the Four Winds. Shiro stands in the center of the arena, arms folded, and surveying the increbibly large crowd.

"Ladies and Gentleman, please give a big, warm welcome to Shiro Gensai, the second member of the Triforce, who will be judging todays match, AND signing autographs after today's event!!"

Shiro turns and looks up towards the top of the arena at the announcer box, with a very peaved look upon his face.

*sigh*.....I didn't agree to that...."

Shiro then makes his way to the the middle of the arena, and summons both of the combatants to join him. Shiro then pulls a microphone out of his robe.

"You both know the rules of this fight, but I'll repeat them for those joining us today who are not as fortunate."

Heatnix and Geoff continued to stare at each other, as if waiting for the other one to attack suddenly.

"You may use any weapon you like, and you may attack with the intent to kill. We have the most highly trained team of medical ninja's waiting to repair any injury, no matter how bad. Plus, you will notice a seal at the four corners of this arena. Those have cast a spell in which that even if you are delivered a life ending blow, you will indeed feel the pain from it, but you will not die. This is why fighting outside of the perimeter of this arena is strictly prohibited. Upon doing so, you will be immediately disqualified. Also, these seals, upon activation, will protect the crowd along with the rest of the stadium, so please do not refrain from using your most powerful techniques. These people did come for a show after all. "

The crowd roars.

"Other than that gentleman, I expect a clean fight with honor, and respect. Now, please bow, and return to your corners."

The two warriors bow, gazes still fixated, and then return to their corners. Shiro stands in the center of the arena, and watches the timer on the scoreboard. After one minute of allotted mental preparation for the contestants, Shiro then raises his hand high into the air.

"Gentleman, it is in this very moment that you will prove to these people, along with the world your worth as a student of war."

Heatnix stood ready, hand on the hilt of his sword while Geoff began pacing back and forth, staring intently at his opponent. The anticipation grew, as the seconds leading to the initiation of what would turn out to be a phenominal afternoon seemed to transform into moments. The crowd held their breath, as both they and the two fighters watched Shiro's hand lower, in what seemed to be slow motion.

"FIGHT!!"

No sooner had Shiro lowered his hand, that he had dissappeared and reappeared in the judges seat, overlooking the two fighters below, which was for good reason, because as he dissappeared, the two competitors grew ever closer to one another with weapons drawn. This was the beginning of what would turn out to be an amazing display of combat.

No sooner had Shiro said to fight than Heatnix and Geoff were clashing blades, broadsword to katana. Heatnix was impressed with Geoff's speed in battle. In their first fight, Heatnix had taken Geoff by surprise. It wouldn't happen so easily this time. Geoff now knew about Heatnix's skill with fire, and had seen several of his techniques. This was going to be more difficult.

Heatnix looked at the judge's box and saw Shiro smiling. It reminded Heatnix of a match long ago that Heatnix had judged, between Shiro and Locke, one of their old friends. Granted, not as many precautions were taken for that fight, but it was still spectacular, just as this fight would be.

As Heatnix and Geoff's swords clashed, shockwaves rung out through the arena. Though the onlookers could not be hurt by them, the reverberation was amazing. It was almost as if there were the beginnings of an earthquake in the arena. Their control over their weapons was amazing, as well. Most other swordsmen, if fighting at this level, would have broken their swords already. The sheer fact that the swords were intact was a testament to their ability.

Heatnix enjoyed this clash of blades. It was an excellent warm-up. However, he was beginning to grow somewhat tired of it. Surely this battle could get a bit more interesting than the mere clashing of blades. This was not what he came here for. It was not what the people had come here for.

Heatnix jumped back several feet. As he did, he held out his left hand. A glowing blue orb appeared in it, and billowed forth as it burst into flame. This happened a second time, very rapidly. These two balls of flame were slow-moving, but very hot. This was part of Heatnix's plan. Surely Geoff would play into this. Geoff batted the fireballs away with his broadsword, just as Heatnix had hoped he would. This would have been the perfect maneuver--had Geoff's sword not melted halfway down in the process.

Geoff had two choices now: keep fighting with his newly-stunted blade, or choose a new weapon. Heatnix was patient. He had all the time he needed.
