Guten Tag.
To any new members: welcome to the forums. We're a laid-back, geeky, happy sort that just happen to love roleplaying. If any of you are unaware of what roleplaying is, it's where a user adopts a character (either fandom or user-created) and improvises or plays the part of that character. Sound like much fun? (It is.)
Here, we're more motivated toward using our own (read: created) characters, although roleplaying as Kakashi or Duo in an RP wouldn't be frowned upon. If you need more information about characters or even help in making one, see the Characters sub-forum or PM one of us (Heatnix, Shiro, or myself). Although the story, and sometimes even our roleplaying characters, may vary depending on the thread at the time, we usually keep to a board-wise character that we create.
Anyways, I'm rambling.
Heatnix, Shiro, and I have been talking a lot lately and we both have plans for reviving the site. He recently plugged it in our uni's anime club and we're manually (read: eventually irl) contacting most everyone else involved.
We have tons of ideas floating around in our brains and we'd like to get some semblance of an RPG going before uni bogs us all down too much. Hopefully you all feel the same way.
One thing that we've discussed are contests. We plan on starting anew topic-wise but we aren't going to be the only ones directing every plot involved. More details and full directions will be released later, but this is the gist of it: as mods, we will set a time for the contest to begin and everyone will be given plenty of notice for it. A thread will be created at that time and designating the point of it and such and a cutoff date. For this specific contest, a story arc will be initiated and a few pointers and possibly limits will be set upon it. The users will be able to expand upon it and write their own versions of what should happen. All entries will be expected to be PM'd to me by the appointed cutoff time. We'll judge them on a few different levels and after we've made a decision, we'll notify you.
The prizes for such contests, if we do decide to do more than one, will vary and be announced along with the contest details.
As far as new RPs go, we have a few ideas and you can expect that whatever we decide on is going to be different than The Raid. If you're still reading this and interested in what we are planning on, double kudos! Keep your eyes open, mks?
Oh, and I tinkered with the forum layout because SOME ADMIN decided to delete most of the forum icons. Hm. ;b
