Well, not the minute of--I finished it and posted before I left for work this morning. NOW is when I thought I'd get to it, but instead I just cut it too fine to get here and link to it as well. I wasn't late for work, but I didn't have time to spare.

ah, of COURSE getting Conspirator to update is our first priority--that does NOT preclude bugging any other author we can contact...Hakubaikou, Nekotsuki, BakaBokken, misaoshiru...and wow! even me, now! Isn't this a wonderful forum?

BakaBokken--would you PLEASE return to "Igo" already? You set up an intriguing circumstance I hadn't imagined, and have since not followed through. I'd have only pictured Saitou censuring Kenshin for putting away his sword, and Saitou wouldn't go out of his way to make his life miserable because of that.

My "plenty of time" to finish chapter three today has ended too soon. I've been called into work two hours earlier than planned. Oops.

Hakubaikou has given adequate reason for relief from pestering about chapter 11 of "Against a Sea of Troubles" (Check her homepage for details).

If Conspirator does not have similar extenuating circumstances, I consider the hunting season once again open! There IS a brief grace period after an update, after all

Whee! Putting this thread somewhat back on track and sorta giving myself an excuse to post to this sleepy forum. (What ARE we going to do now that Conspirator's finished An Unexpected Lesson? XD)

Anyway, I've started my next fic, and as this thread was originally to plug my first, er... here you are! It's a Bakumatsu fic, in which I pick up a grumpy Kenshin and a snide Saito and fling them both into the winter countryside miles from civilisation and make them walk home. Random attempts to kill each other, upcoming death anniversaries of important people and possible snowball fights may follow ...

Tokichic? I've been reading the HP/RK crossover YOU've been posting recently (which title currently escapes me ) and so thought I'd give brief accolades where they're due, while I'm already at the computer and typing...

If I'd been active here, maybe I'd have noticed you more quickly. You're doing well with it...I especially like Kenshin's hallway meeting with Harry, particularly the fame/infamy flip-flop. I'm really a sucker for crossovers in general, but yours stands out even with the numerous HP/RK I've read. His interactions with Snape are most curious. I'll be well pleased to see more.

One question, mostly off-topic; are there now so many I shouldn't attempt the RK/HP plot I can't get rid of? Would you mind if I did try? It was generated with the topic of Horcruxes while reading the sixth book, and hasn't been shaken by anything except fear of reception--and never having time, of course. It's well down the list of stories to be written, but I can't help asking your opinion, anyway.
