Evil in the Land, The origins

I am rereading Oracle and little details are mentioned about Evil. I believe the Seer said that Evil came about 20 years ago so I was trying to figure out its origin to the Land.

When the trio are in the Marsh section, one of the guys mentions that Quicksilver came to the Land years ago. It came to me that perhaps Quicksilver was this the start of Evil.

They also discuss with Katie the area known as Convergence. Perhaps this is where Evil saw a weakness and originated?

I feel like there are some answers in this book that we were learn later on and am just curious as to how everyone else thinks that Evil started our beloved Land.

Wait, you think Evil started the Land similar to how Aslan started the world of Narnia? That's a wicked cool idea! That puts a whole new perspective on things. If the above is what you meant, why would Evil make such an un-evil place, spend all that time and work to want to destroy it? There's a lot of emphasis on the fact that the Land is the key to other dimensions surviving. Hmm... maybe by making the key, Evil can turn it on and off any way they (It? He? She?) want. I have so many thoughts and questions in my head now. This is awesome!
