These guidelines are to be followed in both the OoC Area and within the RPG itself. We will usually be friendly if a minor breach occurs, but do try to follow them as best as you can.


1) Be courteous to other members. Try to avoid badmouthing or otherwise insulting/degrading other users. Be nice whenever you can.

2) Try to avoid spammy or irrelevant posts. We will tolerate bizzare discussions and similar things in the OoC Areas. Likewise, wierd occurances and other such randomness will be tolerated in the RPG Area, so long as it doesn't produce godmoding. But try to be sensible, and don't overdo it, okay?

3) Avoid doing the following things while RPing:

-Godmoding/Metagaming/Cheeze Wizzing: Acting like your character is the strongest force in the universe, using attacks your character doesn't have, etc.
-Godmodding/Forced RPs: Controlling another player's character's actions, whether through combat or otherwise. This also includes Auto-Hitting/Killing and such. An exception to this is if you have the players permission. However, try not to do anything the user wouldn't want you to (Ie, steal all their stuff by having the character give it to you). Another exception is the "48-hour Auto-hit." If you're in combat and you're attacking another person, they have 48 hours to respond. If they don't respond to your attack within 48 hours, you may legally auto-hit them. This exception is to keep users active while in combat!

4) Keep things clean. Keep language at a PG14 level. Lemon-level (explicit) content is prohibited. That means NO posting stuff with porn/ecchi/hentai content. Do not flame, insult another person's religion/race/gender/nationality/etc. Likewise, since PG14-level language is tolerated here, viewer discretion is advised.

5) Don't "pull a hydra". This means no making multiple accounts for yourself to use. You have ONE account to fool around with. Of course, if something accidentally happens to your old account, such as forgetting your password, a new one will usually be allowed, depending on the circumstances.

6) We encourage users to inform other users when they perform a breach of the rules. Such behavior tends to limit problems, since most people break the rules accidentally.

7) Soccer mom attitudes will not be tolerated. What are soccer mom attitudes, you ask? First, watch an episode of Rockman.EXE or Rockman.EXE Axess. Now, watch the same episode of MegaMan NT Warrior or MegaMan NT Warrior: Axess. The changes made are a result of soccer moms.

Basic RP Guidlines are as Follows:
Pokemon Eternity is a pen-and-paper format RPG. The basics are as follows:

-With your character, post a new topic in a forum representing one of the games many areas. The first post in this topic will describe your character's dialogue and actions.
-If a RPing topic already exists, you may have your character join in by responding to the other player's topic.
-Gameplay is achieved through repeated replies between two or more players. This could be a friendly chat, all-out combat, etc.

The battle system for this game uses no stats and variables to determine power, so any character's abilities are quite open-ended. There is no HP system to determine a character's fighting power. Therefore, it is up to the player to know their own limits and are also expected to play fairly. When a battle begins the first player acts and makes an attack or etc., they can not say they hit...they can only make the attack. The the second player responds with whether it hits, they dodge, block it somehow ect. Then the second player may launch their attack back and so the battle would continue.

Some key points to fighting

-You may only defend and attack once per turn.
-If you make an attack on your oponent and they do not respond to it within 48 hours of your posting, then the attack is an automatic success and you may post exactly what the attack does to their character and may then take another turn.
-If an opponent ignores your attack, you may claim an autohit on them.

When roleplaying always be courteous of others. Don't forcefully make another player do something against their will.

EX: Person 1, "I shove you off a cliff and into a pile of rusty spikes. You die.

When in the area where we roleplay always post in character, if you need to post out of character to inform something or ask a question, notify it by putting

OOC:

in front of what you need to say.

Also keep in mind you are one person, and thus cannot be in two places at once.
