I assume everyones seen The All Music Guide. But for that one person who hasnt, it lets you search by name, album, or song for your favorite musicians, see a quick bio, and sometimes listen to their music or see a video. it also lists their influences, and similar music.

Aversion is an indie music news and reviews site. Has a searchable database of mmusicians, and sometimes lists links or discographies in their entry.

David Spondike's Webspace is a huge list of links to all things music related. Also has tons of links to education, research, nad politics if you like that sort of thing.

Live Plasma is currently being redone from its former incarnation. You can type in an artists name and get their discography, and a 'map' of similar music. It used to play some of their music too, I'm hoping they return that feature. I'll let the site explain the 'map' feature, I get headaches whenever i try. Also lets you search for movies now.
