Title: Mk2 VW Polo Coupe S

buster.g40 - September 29, 2007 08:09 PM (GMT)
I've only recently purchased a M2 Polo Coupe S from a guy from Eaglesham near
Glasgow.I saw it for sale on ClubPolo,5mths Tax No MOT 250 and i was looking
for another Polo after selling my Mk3 GT to a guy from ClubPolo. So along i went
kind of expecting to find a pile of rust on 4 wheels but when i got there i was a bit
surprised to find a very nice Mk2.After a bit of bartering(i didn't want the TSW
alloys or the Tax)....We agreed on 50. :D

Brought some Farecla G3 and some polishing gear form work today as it could do
with a wee polish to get it looking red again instead of the current "Tornado Pink"
shade it is right now.

And this is the GENUINE mileage.....

And this is the only bad bit of rust on the drivers sill.

I have managed to pick up a set of door mirrors from my work. One of
the mirrors on the car was already humped,so it just gave me an excuse
to change them over for some fresh new Lucas ones.....

user posted image them for a paltry 12+VAT each.I also got a new set of Bosch wiper
blades and the drivers side one has a neat little spoiler on it.I took all the
wiper arms off last night, took them into work and i've sandblasted them
back to bare metal and will get them painted and on the car tomorrow.

Total spent on it today....32.

Rick_GEEEE - October 8, 2007 09:12 PM (GMT)
top notch mate! B)

buster.g40 - October 9, 2007 07:16 PM (GMT)
Took the wiper arms off of the car yesterday,as they were looking
very old and stone chipped and put them in the sandblaster at work.
They came out very clean and shiney......

Personally think that they've turned out rather nice. :-D

So then i turned my attention to the Quantum Alarm that wasn't working properly.
By the time i had finished with the piece of shit,it would never work again......

I think it'll fail on the front brakes and the emissions but I've given
my mate the OK to fix any small problems that he finds.........

Roll on tomorrow!!!!

The blue car you got the pic of is a minter, it has a pretty rude GT engine in it as well. And that paint work was a bare shell proper job!

Today! :D

:( ....So i knew the front brakes were a bit dodgy, that it needed
2 new front brake pipes and a fluid change.I knew about the bit
of welding that needed done and the rear wheal bearings that
were a bit noisey.I also knew that it was badly in need of a
service.....So i supplied all the parts required and i get her back
tomorrow ,after i finish work. :D :D

Cost today.....Parts & MOT and Welding.....255

buster.g40 - January 4, 2008 09:04 PM (GMT)
:D :D :D Got the Mk2 back from my sister just before the New Year
and much to my surprise there's no extra dents on it and nothing has
been broken (Except for the radio). So i put the BBS RA's from the G40
onto it and realised that....

user posted image

....It looks as if it's on stilts, especially at the front :o

I'm getting an H&R kit for the G40 soon. The Jamex 40/40 kit that's coming
off of the G40 is only a year old so i recon I'll put that onto the Mk2.
