I'm here at The Spectrum in Philadelphia with some earth shattering - bone breaking nooze just for you!

New owners have entered the League and have decided to move the Minnesota Wild franchise to Philly. In a scrum with the media this morning they asked not to be judged by other former managers who may have had the same last name. Remember - Your kids never listen to any advice you give them - even less when it involves how to run a hockey team!! laugh.gif !!

The recent (this afternoon) announcement of Keith Primeau's retirement has led to the new team announcing that Primeau will be in charge of hospitality, crowd control and most importantly of all sensitivity training for all the players and staff.

New Owner/Manager John Inkpen has also announced that the Farm Team will be moving from Des Moines and taking up residence in Halifax, Nova Scotia and wearing the colours of the Nova Scotia Voyageurs. Remember them ??? 1971 - 1984 played out of Halifax Forum and then the Halifax Metro Centre. Their only negative point was they were the farm team for the (Oh it hurts to even say these words!!! angry.gif ) Montreal Canadiens.

Some major team announcements have been made which inlcudes :

Head Coach for the Flyers will be that under-dressed gentleman who is a real prince of a guy and the most genteel guy you'll ever meet - Don Cherry. It's been rumored that in comparison to the attire of the new owner, Cherry's array of clothing is subdued! When asked about his choice for Head Coach Inkpen said: "I wanted Howie Meeker, but two Newfies on the same team would never work so I went for the man with the right attitude and pucnh for th Flyers."!

Team Captain for the Flyers will be Jarome Iginla

Digging deep into the annals of Flyer history, Vic Stasiuk has been brought out of the Nursing Home to be the bench man for the Voyageurs and Alexei Smirnov will be the Team captain (because we love vodka - that's why!!)

Anf of course I, Spark Clark, will be the voice of both teams and the roving scout and the general do anything the Boss tells me to do man.

Watch for the weekly specials at the Spectrum. Philly won't know what hit them when the new Newfy manager starts handing out free beer (Newfoundland home brewed Black Horse - 6.5%) with every Flyer goal scored and watch for twofer nights when dey puts da Newfie Screech on so's ya kin buy one fer self and annuder fer yer missus - Nah Hell... drink 'em both yerself and give her a cup o' tea.
