Andrew had risen rather early this morning, having to do so because of the immediate Staff Meeting which was being held. He had never been a good sleeper, but for some reason last night had been the best rest he had in months, or even years. It was a shame it had to be disrupted by his alarm clock, which nestled in his trash can, now smashed to pieces. It hadn’t been by accident, but the blame rested sorely on his anger for being awoken. He had had no headaches that night, and no haunting dreams of past murders. Instead he had dreamt of Valentine… and what a sweet dream it had been.
Andrew was only now getting the first bits and pieces of the avalanche he assumed he must have slept through - which just proved how much rest he really needed. When he awoke this morning to look out his window he thought for a moment that he had slept straight through the rest of spring, summer and fall.
Students in the hall were talking about non-other than the event that took place in the Ball Room. He was worried about Valentine, despite knowing from other talk that the school suffered no casualties besides a damaged roof. Still, he decided to pay her a visit before heading on down to the meeting.
When he reached her door, he glanced about the area to make sure nobody caught site of him hovering outside her room. When he was convinced it was safe, he tapped his knuckled on the wooden entrance to her room, causing a slight dent in the process. He cursed under his breathe and whispered through the crack of the closed door, “Val, you in there?

Valentina finally heard the knocking at the door, and sat up slowly in her bed, feeling like crap, like a hangover but much worse because of her illness, if he no one had waken her up, she would have probably slept through until evening. Val knew it was Andrew right away, just by the manner of his knocking, it was hard and loud from her side, more so then anyone else would have done at this early. What time was it anyways? Usually she wasn’t one to sleep in…
A look at the clock revealed that either the power was out or her batteries died-probably the first. The girl got up and painfully walked to the door, cursing loudly as she felt her side stiffen, and glanced down towards it. Tom had bandaged it for her last night, but it had bled through her thick grey sweatshirt while she was sleeping, leaving a nasty stain from her hip, all the way up her torso.
At the moment, Valentina was in to much pain to care what she looked like, usually she could deal with pain, but she was exhausted and hadn’t gotten up to bed until at least 3 in the morning, just throwing on whatever she could find. Which was only one thing, warm enough, a big light grey sweater, one that reached about a hand span and a half higher then her knees, leaving her legs mostly bare. Val opened the door to let him in, running her fingers distractedly through her still straightened hair. She smiled weakly, deep bags under her eyes were clear. Valentina turned away and settled herself onto the bed once again, but this time sitting upright patting the spot beside her against the headboard, inviting him to come sit. Then the girl finally said, her voice seemed soft and quiet, yet worn out in a way; "Morning Andrew.."

Valentina smiled again reassuringly, pulling her knees up to her chest in a ball. When he asked, at first wasn't quite sure which he was reffering to- her overall state or her wound- but a quick look at his face confirmed he'd noticed her blood that'd soaked through the thick sweatshirt. "Well, the roof collapsed under the weight of some snow...God knows where the hell it came from. And let me just say, don't ever try shape-shifting under the influence of booze, and being half asleep at the same time, if the chance ever passes you by." She joked lightly.
The events of last night seemd blurry still, like a dream, or somthing that happened so long ago, yet it had only been a few hours beforehand. "This," Val nodded towards her side, on a more serious note "Was because some idiot kid got scared when I shifted and swiped quite savagely at me with a broken beer bottle or somthing." She rolled her eyes, rembering the drunk kid freaking out to see a leopard..."But I'll be fine...Don't worry about me-I've use to pain, I've had worse."Valentina said softly, not wanting him to be too concerned, but she wondered where he had been through all of the commotion. "How are you, okay I hope?"

Andrew listened to her explanation and felt anger flush across his face when she spoke of some boy who had done this to her. Who-ever it was, it had been one cowardly person. There were plenty other shape-shifters in the school, he should’ve known better. He considered asking fir a description, but didn’t think she would give it to him anyway - that, and he wasn’t quite sure what sort of punishment he could give out. I’d probably end up killing the boy. The last thing he needed was more reason for suspicion, and more blood on his hands.
“I’m fine,” he said, rather bluntly. It had been a stupid question to be honest, but he guessed it was because she was either concerned, or had nothing else to say. He moved and sat next to her on the bed, then leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips.
((Sorry its so short, but I’m in a rush - about to be booted off, it would‘ve been longer)

Val watched as Andrews face flushed, and felt the need to interject, not wanting him to act rashly and do something stupid- not with everything else that had happened in the last few days. “He was drunk,” She added quickly, “And I’ll be fine…I’m a quick recovery, trust me, pain is one of the things I can actually deal with.” The girl closed her eyes and leaned her head against the headboard of her bed, still recovering from the night before.
Then Andrew was there beside her, gently kissing her, Val opened her eyes in a little bit of a surprised manor, his rather short answer to her question made her remember last night again, the argument with Josh and Andrew. She’d ended up storming out, and both boys seemed rather peeved, that wasn’t something that she wanted to think about at the moment- but knew in the future would be inevitable. Josh was so protective, though he had reason to be. And Andrew was well, Andrew.
She pulled back slightly and looked down “About last night….” Valentina started, suddenly feeling bad, remembering what a bitch she’d probably been like; it wasn’t her fault entirely though, those three beers and double hard liquor shots probably made her act up more then usual. “Sorry...” She finally muttered, slipping her small hand through his firm grip. ((don’t worry about it =) ))

It took Andrew a moment to know what she was talking about, not knowing what she could possibly be sorry for. After-all, he was the one who had forced all of this on her. He had murdered numerous people right in front of her, he had intended to do worse as well, as she knew. It was he who had started the affair, everything had been his fault - and there was rarely a moment that went by when he didn’t know it. Then last night popped into his mind, and he remembered the small share of words he spent with her friend - a name he had already forgotten, a name which he didn’t quite care to remember.
“There’s nothing to be sorry for,” he whispered, her face just inches from his own. He could feel the sweet smell of her breath, and the warmth coming from her body. He was tempted to touch her, and more, and it took all his power to not to. She was a young woman, and she deserved to be treated better than that.
I’ve changed, he admitted to himself, as he had done so many times before. I’m not who I used to be. He wanted her to know, he wanted her to learn everything there was to learn about him. Fear drove him from doing so, and it was fear that made him realize over and over again just how different he was. I never used to fear like this, especially over something so… small.
He feared she’d think him a monster. He feared she’d tell someone. He feared she would fear him. He feared he’d have to kill her…
The situation was far too complicated to sort out that very instant, so he blocked the fear from his mind, and kissed her again. He was brief about it, knowing he had next to nothing when it came to time. “I have a meeting I got to go to,” he said, still seated firmly on her bed, clutching her hand as softly as possible. “Not sure what it’s about… most likely unimportant - but Gothard always finds the need to waste our time over nothing…”

Valentina smiled softly when he said that she had nothing to be sorry about, glad that he wasn’t holding a grudge, some people were just like that, remembering everything, always promising to get revenge sooner or later. She was like that in a way too though, she still remembered her childhood clearly… Every bit of it, mostly the bad. Val sometimes though about getting revenge on her past family, on Coop. For everything they’d done- they would have deserved it, especially now that she had the power to actually get even, but would she? Sooner or later she’d reach a decision, but for now she was happy.
As he kissed her again, Val was reminded of last night, before all of the commotion, how relaxed, warm and safe she’d felt just lying on the couch with Andrew. It was the feeling everyone always wanted, and she’d had a taste of it, before they’d been interrupted. The girl sighed slightly as he explained about the meeting, not wanting him to leave, not yet “Gothard doesn’t seem so bad…It’s probably to do with this cold, how to get a handle on the students, we’re probably getting hungry and chilled to the bones.”
As if on cue, Valentina shivered and pulled her thick comforter over her bare legs. Reluctantly, she let go of his hand but asked “I’ll see you later perhaps?” They needed somewhere private, where they would be able to talk and act freely without risking being caught .. Val’s dorm was usually quiet if she locked the door, thought Josh and his sisters both had the key until they got settled in., she’d gave them a set last night.

Val frowned slighly as Andrew left, once again wondering what was up with the snow. Hopfully Gothard would sort it out soon. Students were probably already panicking downstairs, and she had no wish to go join them, but knew she'd have to eat sooner or later. Valentina got up slowly, painfully, once again and slid on a pair of stripped thick flannel pj pants to keep her legs warm. She then slowly unwrapped the bandage, to see how her gash was doing. It certainty wasn't as bad as last night -it stopped bleeding, but looked rather gross with dry blood hardened around it, she'd have to wash that off later. Stiches were probably a deffinate yes, but she didn't want them for one, and on the other hand Andrew said he was sending somone up...
It had only been around ten minutes later when the knock came. She hadn't known he'd send a healer up this soon, but should have probably expected it, Andrew had probably forced somone into it- not that she was ungrateful. Val slowly opened the door and nodded towards the boy infront of her, slightly hesitant still about letting him heal her. She'd only been to the hospital a few times, most cases, time would heal wounds and broken arms. This seemed a bit unnatural, but at least she'd be free from pain for now. "Hi...I'm Valentina." She said tiredly-but polietly as possible, extending her hand, then making room for him to enter her dorm.

Valentina watched as the boy walked over to her bed and sat down, then nodded at his own introduction. "Yes, let's get this over with..." The girl stated, not in a rude way, but a way that said she wanted the pain gone, even if she was unsure about the whole thing. Usually, she didn't mind dealing with her own scars, but was too exhausted at the moment to even try to push the pain away.
Val followed him to the bed and sat beside him, then rolled up the side of her sweatshirt, patiently waiting for him to do whatever he had too. She'd never encountered a healer before, one that could heal other anyways, and was quite curious as to see how it worked...

Alex eyes widened at the size of the wound, and before realizing, blurted, “that was caused by a broken beer bottle…?” It seemed like the process was going to take more energy than he thought. Though lately he had been skipping Andrews Combat Classes, so perhaps by doing this he could persuade the teacher into letting him pass the semester. The thought made him smile.
“Okay, your going to feel a bit… strange,” he warned. “Don’t worry it won’t hurt. In-fact, it’ll be the opposite of pain. Just don’t feel foolish if you start getting overwhelmed… the healing process is very… uh, how should I put this. Pleasurable. By the time I‘m done, you‘ll feel like a million bucks…” He swallowed and finally placed his hands over her wound and closed his eyes.
It took longer than he imagined it would, but then again it always did. As power drained from him, he felt cold sweat begin to slide down his face - and as usual, the felt the all too familiar need to draw back. He kept his hands in place all the same, however, and refused to stop until he was finished. Finally, when the cut closed itself, and there was no trace of a wound even being there in the first place, he let go and sank backwards onto the bed - exhausted.
“It’s been a while since I’ve had any practice,” he said. His was voice still strong, but his breathe was begging for air. Alex wiped his forehead with the back of his hand - which proved to be just as cold and clammy. “Guess that proves in order to get better I gotta keep working at it.”

Alex's reaction to her own wound didn't so much worry Valentina- she didn't really mind blood and gore, even if it was her own. "Surprisingly yes, but it was a really sharp corner that I got jabbed with, things got quite a bit out of hand last night. Were you there?" She asked, wincing at the memory. Everything had been one big panic and the roof probably hadn't even been fixed if some of the power was out.
Val listened intently as he explained the healing process, intrigued, and was thankfull when she found he hadn't been lieing, it hadn't hurt one bit. The girl ran her hand over the surface of her skin and smiled, at least there wouldn't be any scars..."Thank you so much Alex."She said, then added softly in reply to his comment, "You have to keep working at anything to get better at it..."
Valentina glanced at the boy and suddenly felt bad, she had drained his energy and knew it wasn't exactly the best feeling after using powers that took a tax on your body. "Can I get you a pop or anything? It might be good to get some sugar after that. I have a bunch in my closet, just tell me what kind you'd prefer."
