"Are you sure?" Foxx said as she picked up the last fry from her plate and tossed it into her mouth. Downtown Eversprings, Foxx Dawson sat at a table in a small diner. A newspaper laid open on the table and several ads that offered teacher jobs were circled. All but two had X's through them. Foxx listened as the person on the other line answered, then rolled her eyes. "Ancient History is not a throw away topic. It teaches us where we came from and what we went through." She replied. She waited for a moment, then sighed deeply. "Fine, sorry to bother you." She finished and snapped her cell phone closed.

Picking up a pen, she placed an X through one of the circled ads. She sighed again and smiled as a waitress walked over with a can of coke. "Thank you." Foxx said with a soft smile. As the waitress sat down the can, she spotted the ads Foxx had circled in the paper. "So your a teacher." She said lightly. Foxx smiled and nodded. "Yep, least I'm trying to be. So far every school I've called they claim students don't care for Ancient History. I have one more place to call. If that doesn't work, gotta go look somewhere else." Foxx replied, pointing at the Nightwoods ad. The waitress looked at it and frowned slightly.

"You do know, the people there different right?" The woman asked softly. Foxx looked up at her and raised a brow slightly. "I did hear that the students and teachers there were gifted in ways besides intelligence. I'm not sure if they want a human on their staff, but I should still try. I doubt their that different, its just something to get used to." Foxx replied. The woman nodded slightly then walked away.

Foxx shook her head slightly, popping open her coke and looking down at the paper. Shouldn't be that bad. Foxx thought. It's a perfect place to teach. She stayed there for a few minutes, just enough time to finish her drink, then placing some cash down she stood and went outside.

Parked on the side of the road was a black and red motorcycle. Foxx grabbed her helmet that sat on the back and placed it over her head. Getting onto the bike, she started it up and drove out of town and turned onto the road that led to Nightwoods.

Half way to the school, her fingers started to shake slightly even through she had them tightly gripped on the handles. She glanced down at them then quickly back at the road, blaming the shaking on the cold air. Soon as I get there, I'm hanging out in front of a heater. She thought. About a minute later, her eye sight started to get blurry. Almost immediately she took her hand off the gas and gently applied the break. She coasted to a stop on the shoulder of the road and swung off her bike.

"What the hell." Foxx snapped as she pulled off her helmet and placed it on the handles. She rubbed her eyes hard, then lowered her hands slowly and glanced around. Her eye sight was still quite blurry, too blurry to drive. Foxx slowly turned as a strong wind started to pick up, whipping her hair around her face. The tress started to sway violently and birds took off in a frenzy. Suddenly Foxx felt another strong chill and wrapped her arms around herself.

"Why is it so fucking cold." She growled as she rubbed her hands on her arms. Looking up she watched as the sky got a little darker and the wind picked up again. "What the..." She looked around again, then suddenly was hit with intense pain. She doubled over, placing her hands on the seat of her bike for support. She gritted her teeth together hard when she was hit with more pain. She turned her head slightly then gasped in surprise.

Looking in the rear view mirror, Foxx watched as her bold green eyes slowly changed into a icy blue color. Almost immediately after the change was complete, the temperature dropped again and the wind grew harsher. Looking up, she saw large snowflakes racing towards the ground. "Oh my god, what the hell is happening." Foxx whispered softly, and again was hit with more pain.

Foxx held her head tightly and stumbled slightly away from her bike. The pain quickly increased until her body could no longer take it. Passing out, she collapsed on the side of the road. The storm however did not stop, or show signs of letting up. Snow continued to fall rapidly and the wind soon got strong enough to knock over small trees. Nearly twenty minutes had passed since the storm started, and a thick blanket of snow was already covering most of Foxx.

Trigger was sweeping though the forest, his paws cutting into the now snow covered earth. Heavy thumps could be heard as the large German shepherd drove it’s away though the blizzard infested air toward the town of Everspring in search of something from town. With a great skid the large dog came to a end at the top of a rather large bank, which hung over a lay by based the edge of the road. With a snort the large filled it’s nostrils with the small of fuel in the air. Pulling it’s self to the edge of the bank it gazed down on a lonely motorbike, with something that looked like a semi berried body.

I don’t like the look of this
Shall we take a closer look?
Better do, the girl will most likely die in this cold soon
A girl?
More of a woman from what I can smell, bigger than you
Alright brother let’s move

With that a burst of pure white light lit up the area surrounding the dog, could have most likely stunned any creature near by. Now stood beside the German shepherd stood the naked Tom Neverwest, who seemed to baring the cold pretty well at this point. With a quick movement Tom gripped Trigger by the scruff of his neck and by his arse and tossed him forward off the edge of the bank . The dog yelped loudly as he fell though the air, slamming into a over hanging branch of a tree.

Come on I could scenes you were scared of a drop, you wouldn’t go down unless I forced you
Humph could have at least gave me warning
You should have reacted faster, now more

Tom took a few steps back at this point and now leapt into the air, slamming down upon a tree branch and hurdling toward the floor below where the girl was now based. Trigger was slowly making his way down the tree, jumping from branch to branch, scrambling every once in a while in order to not fall. As Tom fell, he gripped the odd branch and set of leaves to slow his fall, finally he came to a stop and halted a few meter’s above the ground. With a small final drop he landed upon the ground, quick to have Trigger land at this side. Tom had the few cut’s and scratches at this point but wasn’t really bothered by them.

Trigger moved over toward the girl and licked her face for a moment while Tom was looking over the bike, wondering how it work, having no luck in working it out Tom moved over to the girl and brushed a bit of the snow of her, Pretty thing she was, well compared to Tom’s scared face.

“Come on”, Tom said with a but of strain in his voice as he pulled the girl up onto his shoulder and gained his footing. With a huff he started to jog up the road in the direction of the school, Trigger running at this heels. Tom was still butt naked at this point and most likely would be when entering the school, he had more important things to think about. First person he would go see would be Mr. Gothard, heart of the pack, seeing as he was the only one he really knew well at the school, well well enough to deal with this.
