Jessica looked out the window of this abandoned classroom and caught sight of the forest. Her gaze hardened slightly as a thought appeared and she pondered it. Slowly, a mischievous smirk crept across her lips. Of course, this had been a project assigned to her in her last school she when everything had been fine, but hadn’t liked the sound of it at the time. Now though, it sounded brilliant. Grabbing the army green bag, which seemed to be made out of patches and little round button/pin objects, she shoved all the pens and paper she’d brought with her into it, then walked to the door, trying to keep the rush in her pace at a steady limit. Even so, she couldn’t help her self, swinging the bag under her shoulder, the body of it brushed against the outside her thigh with each step she took, stormy gray eyes gleaming with a sudden spark.

Suddenly, and without warning, she stopped in the middle of the halls, the dimmed light poring down the walls from lamps in an almost looming sort of way. “Dammit.” She muttered the word. Where in God’s name was she ever going to get a full bottle of wine, or at least a good amount of alcohol. Oh shut up Jessica! You can draw yourself some, that or there’s got to be something stashed around here. Sushing her thoughts silently, Jesse set back at her pace, trying to figure out so many random places where she could get alcohol - easily and quickly. Once she came up with an idea she didn’t enjoy having to loose it. Settling on she’d just draw herself some - and be sure to put the correct dates and details on the front of it so it wouldn’t taste horribly, she pushed the doors to Nightwoods open. Looking up at the sky full of only stars and clouds, Jes couldn’t help but breathe in the scent of fresh air. Being cooped up inside a dusty room all day really could make someone need to get outside for a while.

Setting off at a brisk jogging pace, Jessica’s silhouette against the darkness around her was small, especially when she edged the beginning of the forest. Slowing just slightly she looked desperately for a tree with low enough branches that she would be able to climb it. Quickly finding one, she made sure her bag was still carefully placed at her side, then jumped up, clenching her jaw closed for a second as she thought her hands would slip from this thick branch she was desperately clinging to. Pulling herself up, and swinging a leg over, she searched the tree for a thick enough branch for her to be able to lay on. Thankfully, there was one. “Wonderful trees they’ve got here.” She had murmured it to herself, a slight grin already appearing as she set about to climbing up to her branch. Once all the way up, she sat down, and took a breath for a moment. Letting the wind ruffle her hair slightly, Jesse pulled out a simple piece of paper, then began to draw the one thing she needed now that she was up here. In a matter of moments she was done; now came the hard part. She hated having to use her power, she didn’t want to have to loose her sight or anything worse for that matter, but this was for a project, she could take the risk.

Running her thumb over the sketch in a slight hesitant gesture, but she closed her eyes, and concentrated. She listened mainly, as her heart beat began to race she knew that her gift was working, that it was messing with her system. After what seemed like an hour to her, she felt the cool neck of a wine bottle in her hand. Opening her eyes with a slight urgency she looked at the bottle. For a moment her vision held steady, then it wavered for a moment, fading into pitch blackness. Jessica sat there for a minute, hoping her sight would return quickly. What was the point of doing a project like this if you couldn’t see anything? As the minutes ticked by, Jessica saw the flicker of light coming back, and breathed out a sigh. She relaxed, then crossed her jeaned legs, pulling out a pad of paper, then pulled the cork off the bottle and took a drink. Grimacing, Jesse guessed that drinking must be an acquired taste, even so, she took another drink. Looking down towards the ground, she memorized the simple little things that were there, then began to draw them on a piece of paper. While she wasn’t sure she would like people seeing her, Jes looked up, thinking as well as wondering if company would be nice right now.
