Requesting a plot

Plots are available to citizens of Canada who have 50 posts on the forum. Request a plot in this topic. If there are no plots available then make a request anyway and I'll add you to a waiting list.
Members who leave Canada or become inactive may be removed from the map.

Map Customisation

Once you have a plot you can start customising. Pretty much anything is possible, within reason. There are a few rules though:
- Occupying additional territory must be justified with an RP story.
- No one may occupy more than one plot permanently.
- Things that spoil the map are not allowed. (Such as converting your land to outer space)

There are three ways you can customise:
- Post here and describe the changes you'd like, and I'll do my best to create it.
- PM me with your email address and I'll send you your plot, which you can edit yourself. (ideally in Photoshop) Then send back to me.
- Draw a diagram in Paint, post it here, and I'll transcribe it on to the map.

To give you some ideas, you can add any of the following:
- Mountains, rivers, trees, swamps, lakes, hills, beaches, volcanoes, etc...
- Animals of any kind.
- Cities, ports, industry, agriculture. (please name the cities and specify the capital)
- Roads/rails, bridges and tunnels.
- Military stuff.
- Weather.
- Anything you see on the England Map.

FAQ

Software:
- If you want to edit your own plot then you'll need some software. Photoshop is ideal if you can get hold of a copy. If not then GIMP is a free alternative. It has pretty much all the same features.
I wouldn't recommend MS Paint.
- I use Photoshop CS2 and an old Amiga program called Personal Paint. (similar to the more well known Deluxe Paint)
