Echo nodded. She had already deposited her Absol a ways back, but Rioru had absolutely refused, keeping out of her Pokeball and clinging to the girl's shoulder doggedly. Eventually Echo relented. She shrugged slightly and nimbly began to edge down the smooth exterior of the Pokemon Center from the open window.

Outside was unusually warm for the area. Like a spring day. The snow on the ground sparkled luminously, and a flock of Taillow were chirping. "Great day too. Maybe it's a sign." He let out his pokemon again, and they agreed.

With a muffled thud, Echo let go and let her feet hit the ground, stumbling slightly but regaining composure. Rioru leapt from the window without a second glance below, hitting a snowbank and being momentarily engulfed before letting Echo dig her out.

"What to do...ah, yes. Find the two (censored) who did this in the first place." Josh's pokemon looked suprised. He never talked like that unless he was either REALLY mad or really wanted to get back at someone. He wasn't that mad, just fed up.

"Calm down, Josh." said Echo, cocking a brow yet again -- she was known for this inquisitive and rather Echo-ish expression. "I'm sure our two admirers won't give us long to bloody wait once they found out we survived their cute liddle attempt at murder."

"Speaking of which..." Josh's hand flashed upwards, and grabbed the same Rattata from before by the snout. No more bites. He lowered it to his eye level, and looked it in the eye. "You remember those two trainers who bribed you into this? Well, I think it would be in your best intrest to tell us. Now." The rodent pokemon looked scared, and pointed his tail in one direction. "Thanks." With the pokemon still held in a firm grip, he walked the direction that they were directed in. The Rattata's eyes shifted up at Josh, unable to move it's head at the moment. "You thought I'd give you another chance at biting us?"

ooc|| ...... that was a little sudden and yes, maybe a little too direct, but okay.....

Suddenly, the Rattata smiled as well as it could with Josh holding onto its muzzle and suddenly jerked its tail to point the other direction. Then it pointed yet another direction, then another, and then it shrugged, its eyes glimmering as it seemed to act like it had forgotten. Clever rat... its eyes glistened fiendishly and it glowed white for a moment before, in its place, exposing a larger rodent with shaggy tan fur and extremely large, protruding front teeth. The powerful Pokemon grinned.

(Come on...how else would we find them?)

Josh wrestled to keep the pokemon still, but had an idea. "Fine. Charizard, I could use a little help, please." The large Dragon-like pokemon had no trouble holding the pokemon still. "I'll ask you one more time. Where are they?" Charizard turned so all the other pokemon were visible to the fiendish rodent. "You wouldn't want us to get mad, would you?" Electrike was already sparking at this opprotunity.

The Raticate just gritted its teeth, producing a horrible, grating noise, and said nothing, unafraid. Echo sighed. "Stubborn bloody thing. Josh, I'm going to tell you something now -- mad as you may be, don't sink too low, if you know what I mean." she muttered. It was all too easy to see what she meant Josh to avoid. Torture.

Josh knew what she meant. and he would never...EVER do what he wants to punish someone else for. "Don't worry. I won't. Charizard, let's send him back to those two jerks." He nodded, and tossed Raticate into the forest, far enough so that it wouldn't be able to find them. "We'll find them on our own. But now that I think about it, now isn't the best time. Despite how much I WANT to, we are still recovering from the injuries to some exent." Josh's pokemon were relieved. They thought things would have gotten drastic. "Besides. When those two catch wind of Raticate's failure, we can't come up with anything worse than what they would do."

Echo nodded, stretching. Suddenly, the entire ground shook violently and a spray of snow seemed to cover all of them. Tyrant shook his head and glanced up at the window he'd just leapt from.

Josh and his pokemon shook off the snow and laughed a little. "Well, let's continue. I'm sure the next town isn't that farm ahead." Charizard blew a hot breath on the snow, melting it off and drying the group. "Thanks, buddy."

Echo shrugged, her equivalent of 'Okay?'. Tyrant lumbered beside them, leaving huge, clawed footprints in the snow, which Trinket gaily jumped in.

The two kept walking along, stepping through the snow banks. Every so often, Electrike would trip Josh from under the snow. After the fifth time, he stopped, bored. And now for the interesting stuff. After about fifteen minutes, the two came to a giant lake, frozen over. The ice was extremely thick, and would be able to support the weight of the two huge pokemon with them. Should they go across? Josh decided yes, himself. "Maybe this could be a good shortcut to make up for lost time. We DID spend a while in the Pokemon Center."
