Just a spoon full of sugar..., Can fend off bad guys.

Josh and Echo had gotten out of Ragin Town, and were walking along the icy Gevro River. Unlike usual, Charizard was in his pokeball to escape the cold, but Electrike was standing beside Josh. "Well...here we are again..."

It was then that a stocky little creature with viridian and beige skin lumbered rather clumsily past Josh, nearly tripping Echo in its odd, unbalanced gait. With tapered ears and three claws per comically large paw, it was quite evident of its heritage. Munchlax. The tubby stomach said this name above all. Pursuing the chubby Pokemon was something more lithe and thin, of a black and azure color with several tan outlinings. Its maroon eyes flicked to and fro as it chased after the creature wrathfully. By its warlike, lupine appearance, this creature was Rioru, obviously.

Side by side, following them like parents would supervise mischievious children, were an Absol and Flaaffy, holding an apparently vital conversation.

"Absol, Ab."

"Flaaaa! Flaa!"

When the pokemon noticed Josh and Echo, they seemed to be in thought, then Flaafy Thunderbolted both of them, and Absol pinned them against a tree. "Good going. These guys won't be able to hurt pokemon any more." It was a familiar voice...then out came James and Mac...and the pokemon were doing as they said, and didn't have a scratch! That was rare.

"What's about now, my greasy friend?" said Echo, calmly relaxing under the pressure of the Absol's claws. Mac ground his teeth angrily.

"Well, y'see, you are your boyfri--" Echo gave him a warning glare that stopped him in midsentence, "--er, friend, are gonna pay!" James rolled his eyes at his cowardly, chubby partner.

Josh looked at the two, then the pokemon. "So you finally stopped treating pokemon like crap? I guess that SOME good came of this."

"Don't listen to them. They're only trying to trick you. Come on. Let's bring them to the next town so they can be arrested formally. Knock them out just to be safe."

"Hear us out! We both have pokemon that have dealt with these two! If you're doing this for the reason they say, then you can't be bad pokemon!"

James spoke up again. He knew if Mac did then the plan would fail for sure. "Fine. Bring out your lying pokemon. We've never even seen your pokemon before, so how can they know us?" Josh sent out Charizard and Zapdoes. "I think Luris, Kara, and Tyrant would like a say in this."

[Gir]

Echo nodded. She couldn't reach the sphere at her belt, so she merely said, "You guys heard 'im. Onward." Her spider, wolf, and earthbound dragon appeared. They all approached Rioru, Munchlax, Flaaffy and Absol warily. Kara lifted one forepaw to reveal a livid scar on her leg -- Tyrant bowed his head to reveal the deeper whip-marks that were still there -- Luris, being a bug that healed quickly, didn't have much to show, but instead began to describe in colorful detail what happened, how Mac treated him, and how he came to be with Echo.

Josh was just able to reach a photo that a security cam took in James' and Mac's former base of where Charizard was whipped. Zapdoes also showed the scars around his neck from the spike coller. "See? Why would all these pokemon lie?"

Munchlax, being gullible and all too cute, took it all in, immediately convinced. It lumbered toward Josh, beginning to gnaw impatiently at his binds.

"Hey!" snapped Mac. "You little traitor! I thought we had a de--"

James silenced him with a glare that could wither plants, then smiled at Rioru kindly. "You weren't fooled by these nasty abusers, were you, Rioru?" he asked in a cloyingly sweet voice. Rioru looked torn. Who would it believe?

"Thanks Munchlax. Rioru, believe who you want. It's only a matter of time until you see the truth. And besides. If we were lying, don't you think we would have fought back already? Not to mention, if they were good, no matter what Charizard has done, they wouldn't have done that." He was referring back to the picture, and there wasn't any time to edit it.

ooc|| *stares at you ominously* Saaarrooooo.... boooreeeedooomm.... jooooiinnn....

Josh had been freed, due to the Munchlax's gnawing. It took him a while to actually realize that the baby Pokemon was EATING the rope, not just chewing it. Ew.

Rioru reluctantly approached Echo and, with a well-placed fighting-type move, severed her binds. "Thanks," muttered the girl, rubbing her reddened arms gingerly. The dog nodded sagely, and Mac was ruby-faced with anger.

(...okay...PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!!!)

"Thanks guys. Now Absol, Flaafy. Do you believe us? Or do you want to stay with them? We won't force you to do anything." Absol seemed to back down a little, and Flaafy stopped sparking.

Both Pokemon slowly bowed their heads. Flaaffy went to Josh, seeming to immediately bear a connection with the Electric-trainer. Absol went to Echo -- they looked a lot alike, really, Echo with pale skin and black hair, Absol with white fur and black accents. It was a bit comical, really.

James and Mac were nowhere to be seen.

"Thanks. I'm glad you believed us." He scratched between Munchlax's long ears, only for him to bite affectionatly on his hand. It didn't hurt. Just felt weird. He looked up at Flaafy, and smiled. "How long have you been with them?"

[Gir]

"Flaaaa." bleated the pink sheep. A few weeks. They gave us really nice food, bribed us with very good living conditions, and so on. They taught us that you were the bad guys, and that you two had stolen many of their Pokemon. We know now. Absol said nothing, but simply nodded.

Echo seemed understanding. Rioru was on her shoulder, taking a shine to her already.

"Well, techically we did take their pokemon, but they came willingly." He pet Flaafy's head, making sparks come off her wool. Munchlax was staring up at Charizard, wondering why they did that.
