What's gonna happen now?, Something to ponder on.

So, things are looking rather gloomy around here. Hell, you can sense the cold wind breeze through these forums, pushing tumbleweed along with it.

Why? Well, most of you already know. We don't have anything to offer. Real life came and breezed through, stole LGDVegetto and made like Ryu Ninja. Damn that real life guy! Damn it!

Likewise, with nothing to offer, nobody new will come here. If we were laying on paid domains and the like, i'm sure Mobius-X would have been turned to dust a long time ago, already. Like our old pal ( Well okay, he was a real jerk of a board, lets admit it ) AndroCity.

We've already gone through a ton of possibilities how to revive this board to it's former glory. We know what is needed, and i've tried to get some done. Unfortunately, SBC2 wasn't that successful ( Mind you, it's not Xanadu's fault, Newgrounds tends to be a real bitch sometimes, 's all ), and LGD still hasn't gotten back to his roots. We don't have any other real talents here, so it's inevitable.

Most of you have already said this place is dead. I agree, but at the same time, i cannot bring myself to just up and lock up the doors to this place. It holds alot of history and good times, and i want to hold on to it for as long as possible.

Years ago, Mobius-X was something pretty cool at the time. A bunch of people together doing all sorts of stuff, comics, sprites, and praising SQFP for what it was. We were Sonic and Megaman fans alike ( Except Link. I have no idea what that crippled elf-boy came here for D: ) and it was good that way. But now we've grown up. Most of us don't do what we used to. No spriting, no comics, many have college/university, and jobs too. Others have moved on to things more interesting to them.

What's to become of MX? I don't know right now. Maybe nothing. But maybe, just maybe, we'll one day see a new generation of our kind around here. That is a day i'm hoping to see more than anything.

Well, reeses juggling videos seem to get a bit of attention but not from the right crowd, I mean.

Who the fuck posts on forums anymore...It's all facebook, and twitter and shit like that.

Yup, I think Marl has the other half of the argument right in that everyone's moving to facebook and twitter. That and instant messaging really takes away people from the forum as well. I'm not sure what will happen to MX, but I do think one thing, we should never just lock up the boards and not enable new posts. Granted we may get a bot or two doing that, but then it leaves the board open for people to post in if somehow some new folks find the board and want to revive it. I though about the idea of linking MX to another website and basically donating it to, like what Ramirez did, and that seems like a good idea, because the board would have a definable purpose again, but I say, just leave this here. It's not gonna do much good to close it down, and leaving it open doesn't do much harm. I'd like to say, we had an AWESOME run.

Looking back, MX went from a just for fun forum to suddenly a thriving community full of stuff, we created a full website and had our own domain for a while, and when we switched back things were as good as ever, but the time has passed, and MX's near 5 year run is takin a bit of a hiatus once again. I'm almost sure this isn't THE END of Mobius-X, but for now, let it rest....

Yea, repeating most of what was said above, Lets just leave the door open. I mean, this isnt the first time this forum has gotten dusty. It comes around, kinda like the matrix *shot for old refference*

but in the end, dont worry about it. come if you want. see whats happening. something will eventually happen. I know ill probably be checking it daily just out of habbit. this dead week has proven that.

I do want to point out that places like this don't die. I'm tempted to come out and say "MX will always live on in our heaaarts" But that would be way too corny. Yet it feels more or less true for me. Mobius-X has been one of the cornerstones around which I've grown up around so far. It was my first forum and one of three, MAYBE four, that ever really mattered. Particularly I'm reminded of one time when I posted a huge ragewall about how much I hate M-X and Joel edited my post, actually.
That was before we moved to the new site too O:. So I don't think I'll ever forget this place, regardless of whether when and if it does die.

That said, all forums DO die eventually, as everything does. Just pointing that out. I atleast tried getting the iRC active again and failed regardless, but hopefully things will change for the better. Lots of people, probably everyone, wants to revisit their befores again over time, so maybe that will happen.

And I've posted enough wall o' text so I'm done. Baaaawwwwww

last time... hmm.... it was recently. I accedently opened in when I was moving some files around my computer. it gave me a instant headake and I closed it.

I cant recall why I ever enjoyed it while listening to that screaming in static...

I still enjoy it, though I haven't been watching many flash videos lately.
