I keep seeing these ads that say Obama wants moms to return to school. I am sorry and probably old fashioned but I wonder why the big push. Only think I can think of is if Mom is at school then the government is raising the kids just like they want. The opportunity for people who don't know or love you kids like you do will be doing the parenting. I think this is wrong and it is deceitful advertising. Is anyone out there with me???

How would the government be raising the kids? I've seen the ads to and to my knowledge it doesn't say that if the Moms go back to school that the government will provide day care or anything like that for the kids? If I'm wrong please correct me.

I think it's a good thing, especially for Moms who had to leave school because they got pregnant. Or for those who could not get a decent education because of money or had to leave school early to get a job to help out their families.

I see it as a good thing.

I dont live in teh states so this is news to me but it sounds like a good concept-I know alot of moms who became pregnant as teenages and I think this would be a great opportunity for them to show a great example to their children, build self esteem and upgrade theri skills so they can provide more for their family. My dad came to Canada at a young age and quickly found work in a government type job. Towards the end he said he regretted not graduating college and doing what he loves which is journalism so he went back and got his degree. That day he told me he felt empowered and he wanted to finish to show me and my brother that you can do anything no matter how old you are.

But thats just me saying this from hearing very little about what it is.
