"Fierce as. At least I'm not hated. If someone had named me something completely irrelevant to what I was, I'd might have been raging since birth."

Nods her head innocently, Damion repeating the motion, it was kinda weird how the girl and her feline were almost perfectly syncronized. Damion, however, wasn't silent as it appeared, instead he was laughing quietly.

"I wonder if she's raging about her own name inside." He chuckled, looking over at Tiger with a playful cant to his ears.

"Honestly, I never thought about talking to her? It seems really... weird. But I guess not a lot about this is conventional. I kinda found her on the street once. I don't really know how she got there."

Zxaine sighed quietly, everyone seemed to think that the power was weird. She saw nothing wrong with communication with felines, but then, she'd been doing it for years and years already, she was used to the idea. She didn't make any comment that she was put off by the comment on the weirdness, instead she looked at the cougar.

"I escaped from the Zoo."

The girl chuckled, a big smile spreading across her face at the feline's answer to the unspoken question. Damion, however, just brushed his paw over his muzzle, shaking his head a bit.

"She escaped from a Zoo." She said after she was done chuckling, "How cliche."

"She escaped from a Zoo."

Eddie could only stare at her cougar, a hand seeking the feline's head to pet her reassuringly. "A Zoo, eh?" She asked, first looking to Tiger and then back to Zxaine. Maybe it would be useful to be friends with the girl. Nothing about her made Eddie rage, so that was a plus. It seemed she could spend time around her for a decent amount of time, She had yet to feel that need to kill something.

"I don't know how that makes sense. You'd think someone would stop a cougar cub from wandering random Australian streets." She explained, recalling something interesting suddenly, "But what's weirder is that there wasn't much trouble getting through the airport. Customs or Quarantine or whatever it is. Can you believe those people take 'She's a weird mixed breed' as an excuse? It hardly seems believable."

And then, a last minute revelation. She knew she'd recognised the name before, but being that she'd never seen this girl before, she had no way to be sure. "I thought I recognised that name. You're the one people try to keep a distance from, aren't you? That's quite a reputation you've built for yourself. Intentional?"

"A Zoo, eh?"

Zxaine merely nodded at that, not really much she could say.

"I don't know how that makes sense. You'd think someone would stop a cougar cub from wandering random Australian streets. But what's weirder is that there wasn't much trouble getting through the airport. Customs or Quarantine or whatever it is. Can you believe those people take 'She's a weird mixed breed' as an excuse? It hardly seems believable."

This caused Zxaine to chuckle quietly, her expression amused and knowing. Yes, she knew how that was.

"In case you hadn't noticed, I'm soul bonded to a Snow Leopard. That's not exactly your garden variety kitty either. Damion gets weird looks wherever I go. I once claimed he was a hybrid feline and people believed me. There is no way he looks even remotely housecat like. But people are rather dumb like that, they'll believe anything." She nodded with another chuckle

"I thought I recognised that name. You're the one people try to keep a distance from, aren't you? That's quite a reputation you've built for yourself. Intentional?"

Zxaine froze, her expression going blank for a second before she chuckled and shook her head. How news travels, ahhh well.

"Ah. You caught me. Yes, people avoid me, and yes, to a degree it is intentional. Nothing worse then being attacked by a rabid fan club, so I cause a bit of havoc to keep the lanes clear. I don't need a lot of friends, just a few good ones. You know what I mean?" She smiled, Damion nodding his head and batting one of his paws playfully at Tiger.

Eddie just kind of stared at her for a few moments, raising an eyebrow. Was she supposed to notice such a thing? Was there some kind of obvious trip she was missing here? Not that it mattered much, but it just seemed a little strange. For her train of thought she missed whatever else the girl said, hoping there wasn't a question thrown in there that she was ignoring.

She froze at the question of a reputation. Eddie grinned.

"Ah. You caught me. Yes, people avoid me, and yes, to a degree it is intentional. Nothing worse then being attacked by a rabid fan club, so I cause a bit of havoc to keep the lanes clear. I don't need a lot of friends, just a few good ones. You know what I mean?"

"I do; building a certain rapport in high school is the best way to avoid getting your ass kicked." Eddie explained. She was practically a walking guide to how to survive the perils of high school, having built her own set up quite nicely. "Like, ok. I might not be a nice person, but they're the ones who are are over in some kind of MHS back alley getting beaten up and tormented by awesome powers." Had to throw a bit in there about the powers for good measure.

Her explanation was interrupted by a quick yawn; still tired. "I don't know much about you, something about... How did they put it..." She moved slightly, as though she were seriously trying to search her mind for the answer. But when she got it, she clicked her fingers and looked back to Zxaine, "You're the harlot trying to break up Romeo and Juliet." She nodded a few times, unable to repress a chuckle even if she cared enough to repress it. "That's a tough task, is it true?" She had to ask, of course. It was better to go to the source and check for facts.
