So yeah, things are a little slow but this is MHS, and we do so enjoy roller coaster style activity rates. -_- Remember, posting = good, good = happy, happy = me not raging. You don't want me raging, do you?

"What? AH!"

There no better sound than a student locked in surprise before falling into the sleep. The special solution was anesthesia, a special concoction made specifically for meta-humans. It would be lethal to normal humans, but these kids were resilient. Stein flips the stainless steel scalpel between his fingers.

"Tch...Assistant!"

Footsteps enter. Preparation, undressing, redressing in hospital robes. Slice into the skin, hopefully Devlin would feel the pain in his sleep for just a second.

The slicing commences...

Beeping of instruments.
An unintelligible voice.
A murmur of interest followed by the typing of keys.
Hearing fades in an out of the operation, but the boy would not wake.
Squeaking wheels.
Clatter of steel instruments.
The warmth of the bright and hot light above.

"All right, all accounted for. Thank you dear."
"I'll see you later then, Lloyd."

Now Devlin Fragston will be able to stir from his sleep. An IV attached, the glow of light over areas of his skin where Stein had sliced, rapidly healing and dissolving the stitches. Aoi Hanabishi had been present and left some time ago then.

Meanwhile, Stein was on the main computer, waiting for the boy to awaken. The surgery was a compete success, as if there was any doubt.

And just as quickly as Devlin was injected with the syringe, he was suddenly awake. He didn’t necessarily move, but his eyes shot open and moved from side to side in order to see where he was; it still seemed like Stein’s lab. Devlin glanced over to the main computer and saw the creepy science teacher. Yup, definitely Stein’s lab.

“Thanks for the warning,” Devlin couldn’t help but be a tad sarcastic at his remark to let Stein know he was awake. It was a surprise, after all. But as Devlin gradually woke up more his thoughts drifted to the dreams he had in that slumber. To put it simply, they were dreams he never wanted to have again. “…How long was I out for?”
