Amelia had decided to sit herself beside Darrien, though not intentionally of course. If he were to look over at her, she would give him a polite smile, but while they waited for the class to begin, she simply decided to retrieve her Aeon and send a few messages. She wanted to see what her friends were up to, how they were enjoying class and if anything interesting was happening. Every few moments she would look up and throw a glance to Ken Namiashi, waiting for him to wake up and look at her, or say something. He was so cute when he slept~!

"Just don't try anything,"

Oh ho ho! Alright, alright, so it seemed he had a clear interest in the winged girl, but that was ok. A little rivalry was always good, and it was definitely going to be fun messing with that aspect of whatever relationship was going on over there. His new roommate left then, quickly snagging the chair beside her. Well damn, that shot his first plan! Oh well, he'd talk to her one day. But for now he simply moved to an empty seat in the room, right beside Xoshi. He looked over to him. "Whats up, bro?"

X-oshi turned his head slightly to the seat next to him as the other boy sat down. Since alot of new people where here at the school, he didn't know this person... but its always good to meet new people.

QUOTE
"Whats up, bro?"

X-oshi gave him the whats up nod... as the boy sat down.

"Whats up, man... the names X-oshi, whats yours?"

He looked at him with a sense of uncertainty... he really didn't didn't know his name. He put a fist out to give him dabs...

To her happiness, Mazohyst sits in one of the open seats. The whole idea that he would not was silly in retrospect, but that would be kept to herself. She smiles back at him and looks up to Emerald's arrival and completely missing the exchange between him and Taro.

"It's good we're able to talk now, isn't it? Sometimes such rules can be suffocating."

Emerald says as sits in the chair Amber had moved from so that she could sit down - that was just for her.

"I feel like the cloud of doom lift once I stepped out of the classroom. Darrien and I had been discussing what exotic and rare material would soothe her anger."

The winged girl was rather cheerful considering what had happened in the ten minute break between class. Nope that was far from her mind for the moment. One by one the students were coming in and taking up seats, a little more free to talk amongst themselves while Ken took his odd power nap. Who was the one to wake him up anyways? Or would he wake on his own? Amber's little wings perks up, brushing against both Mazohyst and Emerald's arms.

"Ah, that's right. No better time than now. Emmy, this is is my friend Mazohyst, and Mazo, this is my friend Emerald." Now the nephlet felt satisfied, her friends having finally met...unless they have met before. Her Aeon suddenly buzzes in her backpack and she fishes it out. A message on the screen:

I can't, Amber. I'm not up to this. I'll be at the dorm.

A worried expression crosses her face. Stella. It had must have been painful to see Lucas, having not seen him since the start of the separation. Amber taps away:

Are you sure? You shouldn't miss this, but if you really can't, please eat your lunch, ok?

Sent.
Pause.
Reply.

Okay, I will. See you later.

The winged girl's cheer visibly took a minor nosedive and she puts the Aeon back in her backpack. It must have been harder for Stella than she thought. This morning when she had been brushing her hair, the girl voiced the nerves she had, so fragile. There was only so much Amber could do for her, and it was hell to realize that. With a sigh, she forced herself to cheer up a little.

"I suppose you'd ask or wait. The former is for the brave souls. But still, try not to anger her too much...you might pick up some enemies if you keep having her subject the rest of us with more assignments than she probably has planned."

"That was an unfortunate outcome, I'd thought if anything she'd have crucified me on her door or something." he said with a grin, a grin that boradened when he remembered she ordered him back to her classroom after the day's classes were through. "Perhaps she still will."

"Mmm, I wonder...I always imagined that it must be something rare, legendary and exotic that has the ability to soothe her. It would be a fine reason to go on a quest, even if it's just for the adventure of it all."

"That does sound like fun, think anyone would accompany us on such an adventure? Perhaps we could post a sign up sheet?"

It was then that Amber moved to the next seat, leaving room for her friends to bookend her in this uncomfortable circle setting.

"I assume your summer was eventful?"

"Truthfully, it was kind of a blur. That party Dev and psycho threw was possibly the most memorable event, other than that it was fairly normal. Working out, reading, spending a small fortune making this uniform tolerable. You know how difficult it was for me not to tear it to pieces and restitch the whole thing?"

Stretching back in his chair, he looks over and sees Amelia sit down. She was an undeniably attractive girl, but her eyes seemed distant in thought, now even more so than in their previous class. He responded to her polite smile of a greeting with a wink, then turned back to see Amber's friend Mazohyst arrive. "And yours love?" he returned her question.

Emerald sat between him and Amber not long after. Darrien had forgotten how striking she was, but it was quite apparent that she was more confident now than in their first meeting. Politely allowing Emerald and Mazohyst to exchange introductions, he spun in his chair to face Amelia once more. "So, what was your take on our English class adventure?"

Mazohyst notices a girl sit near Amber. She looked familiar and from what he could tell was pretty close with the winged girl. Other than that, Mazo knew very little about her. Hell, he hardly knew anyone else in this classroom for that matter. The teenager had remained a passerby for most of his time at Manga High School after all. Despite that, she seemed alright. Darrien too, though Mazohyst was definitely annoyed that he ended up getting the class to do a 500-word essay, which Mazo definitely did not complete.

"I feel like the cloud of doom lift once I stepped out of the classroom. Darrien and I had been discussing what exotic and rare material would soothe her anger."

Mazo came close to making a pretty terrible joke. It would have certainly been fitting given Kudo's icy disposition, however certain people around him might have found a disturbing sense of familiarity with that joke. The joke would have been 'the hearts of children,' literally, of course. It kinda irritated him that he even thought of it. He shook his head and let them continue conversing.

"Ah, that's right. No better time than now. Emmy, this is is my friend Mazohyst, and Mazo, this is my friend Emerald."

The teenager turns to face Emerald, he smiles. Mazohyst never was too good with introductions so this whole thing was a little awkward. Mazo notices how piercing her eyes are, violet. Her hair is ebony, raven-colored even. How familiar, he chuckled, noting their physical similarities. Nevertheless, Mazo extends a hand out.

"Glad to meet you."

"I feel like the cloud of doom lift once I stepped out of the classroom. Darrien and I had been discussing what exotic and rare material would soothe her anger."

A strange conversation if nothing else; one she would obviously prefer to stay out of. Kudo was most likely listening. Emerald had heard that she had a knack for being in the right place at the wrong time. Amber touched against her arm lightly, catching her attention.

"Ah, that's right. No better time than now. Emmy, this is is my friend Mazohyst, and Mazo, this is my friend Emerald."

So Emerald was not the only one Amber had given a nickname to; it must have been something she did for all her friends. And as she looked to the boy at Amber's side, she seemed to note the same thing he did. Similar things in appearance; dark hair, bright eyes. It called for a quiet laugh, one she joined him in. Emerald watched as his hand moved towards her, and she met his with one of her own.

"Glad to meet you."

"Same to you, Mazohyst."

------

Lucas appeared to be one of the last to arrive at class, having to go back to his dorm room in order to get the appropriate book for Math. While he had assumed there would be no work given on the first day, Kudo had proved him wrong on that front. Better to be safe than sorry. And after exchanging a quick word with Zxaine on her way to Gym, he decided to teleport to the front door instead of running all that way.

So, he was barely late.

And upon entering the classroom, he saw the way it was set up. It could only mean one thing. Another thing he noticed was that Stella was no where to be seen. Lucas looked over to Amber questionably; surely she would know if something bad happened. She wasn't the type to be late, especially to something as important as the first classes of the semester. Nevertheless, he sat in one of the few free seats available; next to the blonde girl, Amelia.

Both the seats beside her were now taken, how sad! She thought for sure Ken would want to sit in the circle with his students, and in a perfect world everyone would realise how badly she wanted to sit beside him. But apparently not, so she was forced to sit between two male students. At least she knew one of them wouldn't give her any trouble, but the other, Darrien, she had heard about before. At first he had simply winked at her, but now he was going to talk.

"So, what was your take on our English class adventure?"

"Well," She said, idly flicking through the pages of the book on her lap, "I think you cause quite a bit of trouble for us all, and that whether we want you to or not, you won't stop." Amelia explained, sounding irritated with him. But she broke into an amused smirk with a matching tone of voice, "But it was still pretty funny." And oh, how she hoped Ken would awaken soon and talk to her.

Meanwhile, Taro was busy sitting on the other side of the room, occasionally swapping a glance to his new roommate. Oh yeah, he totally wanted the winged girl. He'd have to ask again later, and remind the guy that as roommates, it was going to be difficult to keep secrets from him.

"Whats up, man... the names X-oshi, whats yours?"

"Taro, Taro Yamada." He replied, reaching over and hitting his fist against his classmates. Now Taro remembered, this guy was late to English. He mustn't have heard the rumours. Or maybe he did and just decided not to believe them. "Kudo's really got it out for you, doesn't she? She's scary, bro." He said, hoping he agreed.

"I think you'll find, students, that nothing can tame a dragon." Ken said, his head still resting down on the desk. But he looked up, then, wide awake with a naturally confident smile, "At least, not one of that magnitude. Save yourselves before she burns you." It was such fun to tease Amaya, whether he knew he was doing it or not. Surely she would find out eventually. And when she did, he would laugh.

Ken stood, then, moving around his desk to sit on it instead. It was his way of being in the circle without actually having to sit there. "So, tell me. Before we start with the formalities and all that, I want to know everything," Because he was sure she wouldn't say a word of detail on how her classes went, "How was English? Was it as bad as you all assumed or did the wonderful Wizard give Amaya-chan a heart during the break?" By the way he spoke, the students could rest easy knowing they were now in a safe environment.

He nodded his head as the boy spoke his name clearly... he stored it in his memory banks.

"Yeah... I don't she trying to come after me... but I already messed up in front of her twice. Wrong place, wrong time I guess. I think she might be an alien... but thats just me."

He looked around is feeling a bit paranoid. He leaned in to speak a little softer as if what he needed to say was private.

"Im just gonna stay far away from her as possible. Except for class."

Once he made his statement, Ken began to speak.

X-oshi was about to speak up... but held his tounge. For the smallest, and most simplist fact of... he didn't know everyone here. Someone might just snitch to Kudo... That woman could have eyes and ears anywhere. He kept his comments to himself. For the time being... its time to scope everyone out.

Working out, reading, spending a small fortune making this uniform tolerable. You know how difficult it was for me not to tear it to pieces and restitch the whole thing?"

"It's very nice. If you need it stitched or re-stitched for whatever reason, send it my way, I had to adjust mine to my liking too. My summer was uneventful for the most part. I made a few new friends, explored the caves a lot. Other than that, not too much."

It was mostly a lie. There had been a lot of other things that had happened, but she was more inclined to keep such things quiet. Mazohyst and Emmy knew well enough of particular adventures; Amber was a private girl otherwise.

It was a noticeably odd coincidence, Amber realized, that both of her friends happened to share certain characteristics - the eyes, the dark hair. It had never occurred to her until she was able to have them in the same room pretty much side by side. Would that make her odd, she wondered for a moment before it passed. Lucas had walked in and had tossed her a glance - where was Stella? To that, Amber only shook her head, she would have to explain later.

"I think you'll find, students, that nothing can tame a dragon. At least, not one of that magnitude. Save yourselves before she burns you.""

Amber sits up straight. Ken had heard their earlier conversation; it should not have been a surprise, one could still hear during sleep. She had to admit it was a funny admission that Kudo was a dragon - a cool one when she was glaring directly at you.

"So, tell me. Before we start with the formalities and all that, I want to know everything. How was English? Was it as bad as you all assumed or did the wonderful Wizard give Amaya-chan a heart during the break?"

X-oshi in particular was a little apprehensive, which was understandable given that he came in late. Sora would probably bring his exploits to light, so Amber spoke up out of honesty.

"Well...it was stifling, but that's her way, ne? We ended up having a writing assignment to the end of class..." Amber suddenly becomes shy and trying not to be nervous. Despite Ken not being the type to tell what students say, she still could not help but thinking Kudo would pop behind her as she was talking.

"Still, expected worse."

But at least they got it out of the way for the day.

"I just may take you up on that offer love." he says, tossing her a sweet smile, then turning back to Amelia, allowing Amber a bit of privacy wth Emerald and Mazohyst.

"Well," "I think you cause quite a bit of trouble for us all, and that whether we want you to or not, you won't stop." "But it was still pretty funny."

"Apologies there my dear, I hadn't accounted for the possibility she'd take our quarrel out on the entire class. In my defense, I assumed knowledge of restroom procedures would benefeit everyone, epsecially during the first class of the day." he winked casually, apologetically shouldering the blame for their assignment.

"I think you'll find, students, that nothing can tame a dragon." "At least, not one of that magnitude. Save yourselves before she burns you."

Darrien snickered, then pulled his Aeon out and made an addendum to the previous note he'd written to himself, tapping a series of keys to make sure it popped up the next time he checked his messages, to remind him what he'd just thought.

"How was English? Was it as bad as you all assumed or did the wonderful Wizard give Amaya-chan a heart during the break?"

"I'd always assumed she was of western descent myself." Darrien made an effort of muttering, so those around him assumed he didn't want to be heard. He couldn't help himelf, little games were too fun not to play. Slouching in his seat, he slid a pack of playing cards from his pocket and began absent mindedly shuffeling them in his lap.

The door was open, so a flashy or remarkable entrance was unnecessary. The best thing to be was the low key, but being Yuna completely missed Kudo's class and is late to Namiashi's, it was difficult not to be that one late student. The girl's hair is a pale pink, reddish eyes that would suggest she's some sort of albino, yet her skin is healthy in color. Slung on her arm was her backpack and in her hand was a slip. She had one for Kudo too, but there was no guarantee that it would save her from the English teacher's wrath.

The girl tries not to make eye contact with anyone as she approaches the circle, to Namiashi in particular. Her reddish-pink eyes search for an open seat for a moment then she smiles at the Math teacher. He would know her, a familiar girl that had suffered a great loss. She actually seemed better since that day, a mask of a somber sunniness, a partly cloudy day. Yuna holds out the slip, visible was the familiar scribble of Nurse Hanabishi.

"I'm sorry I'm late." She says shyly, her hand trembling as she holds out the slip. "I had a check up with the nurse."

It was clear from the initial silence that they weren't really willing to talk about it for fear that the shadow of Kudo would be standing behind them the minute a bad word left their lips. The reception was a little mixed; he had to read it all from their faces. It was always amusing to see how people reacted.

"I'm sorry I'm late. I had a check up with the nurse."

And suddenly, here appeared another students. Given the girl's situation, Ken Namiashi was hardly going to punish her for being a little late to his class. "Don't worry about it, Yuna. At least you joined us." After all, being late meant that at least she was in the class. He took the slip from her hand, casually glanced at it, and placed it down on his desk. "Grab yourself a seat and put yourself anywhere in the circle; I hadn't expected to see you today." He explained, before looking back to his other students.

"If there are no more words on her ladyship I suppose we should get down to business, shouldn't we." Ken moved from his desk, circling it to bring himself to the board. He quickly removed the rest of his previous classes overview, and he paused. What was he teaching these kids again? Math was hardly his favourite thing in the world, despite teaching it. He turned to his desk, sifting through a few files and pieces of scribbled on paper before picking a small book up, opening it and turning once more.

"Now, let me assume that you've all covered the basics you need in order to study what you're going to learn here." He began. If not they were in the wrong class! "We'll build on your Algebra knowledge; I'm sure you'll find use for it somewhere. Trust me, it'll be very... Interesting. For lack of a better explanation you'll just know more about it. Finite and Financial math, and a lot to do with Statistics; analysis, interpretation and-" A yawn caused him to stop mid sentence, and in his technical sleep deprivation, he lost track of where he was going.

He closed the book. "I can't really explain much until we start working on it all, which we of course will not do today. I'm not that mean." He added, sitting back on the desk.

Formalities and introductions aside, Mazohyst remained rather motionless and quiet. His expression was a rather blank one, it was difficult to tell what he was thinking about. In short, Mazo wasn't really thinking of anything at all. He just wanted to get this class, as well as his others, over with. The raven-haired teenager let the others answer Namiashi's question, Mazo really had little to contribute to the topic. Mazohyst crossed his arms and leaned back in his chair slightly, his violet eyes glanced around the room as his fellow students spoke.

---

Yuna wasn't the only late student. Alexander had been busy doing god-knows-what. You can never know with him, his actions are just as unpredictable and ridiculous as his reasoning for those actions. He could have been rummaging through someone's trash (highly likely), compiling information (typically random, useless tidbits of info), or whatever it is a nutjob does. The one thing to expect about Alexander is to expect the unexpected, and even then he may throw you off with something that actually is predictable for once.

Either way, Alexander was late for second period and was for some reason on top of the school roof. Sure, he could teleport into the classroom but this way was much funner! Alexander laughed boisterously as his body suddenly became transparent. He let loose a deep breath and suddenly plummeted through various floors. The first few floors he fell through were rather uneventful, nothing was there. On one of them he saw the clean up crew on the job. Interestingly enough, on another floor he saw a pair of students actually ditching and having sex! Sounds like a lame plot for a porno. Alexander actually stopped on that floor and pulled out a notepad and a pen. As he scribbled onto the notepad the couple turned towards him with a look of shock.

"Intriguing," He says with an obnoxious laugh.

The red-head allows himself to fall through the next floor. If his calculations were correct then he would fall through into the math classroom. He quickly fell through the roof and slowed down, he remained standing though he was still intangible. It took a moment for him to realize that he was actually phasing with a certain other red-headed male, Taro. Alex stood, his expression completely serious, before he stepped back and laughed.

"Sorry about that," He wheezed as he took an empty seat. "Another red-head, reportin' in. Sorry for being late, sir."

Yet another late student. It was a shame they didn't seem to understand the importance of being on time. Not that Ken honestly minded much, it was more the fact that he was concerned for their safety when entering any of the other classes. They'd be relatively surprised by how it could annoy Mai, though she even had a cheery touch to her threats, which may have made them worse than Kudo's.

May have.

"Tardiness isn't worth repeating myself. It doesn't matter that much anyway. But! Now that you're here I can safely assume hat it's alright to start the point of this delightful little circle." He began, half expecting all in the room to groan at the idea of talking about themselves to strangers. Oh of course it was such a bother for any of these oh so secretive types to say something. He was expecting short responses from a fair few of them. Short responses or veering statements and little white cover ups.

"I'm sure you all know what it means. But for the few who might not, this is a simple, uncreative way to get to know your fellow classmates. I'm sure Kudo didn't let you breathe a word to each other, so I'm confident you haven't done this already. I've decided, however, to forgo the idea of 'where you sit is your place in line.' To mix it up, I'm opening the floor to whoever wishes to speak first. Stand up, tell the class something about yourselves and sit down. It can be anything. Or, should I say almost anything? You know the generic boundries." He explained, waving his hand slightly as though it didn't bother him that much.

Think generic boundries, and stretch them a little. It was Ken Namiashi after all.
