Back at MHS

"Ok, boots. Check! Water. Check! Snacks. Check!" On a bench outside the main entrance to the school, Riley Royal sat cataloging her effects for a nature walk. Since arriving at the school she'd been wanting to explore the grounds, to get a feel for where she was. The forest would be an easy, straightforward path to walk, which she certainly would have taken if her sister was with her. However, since she felt she was living for the both of them now, she decided to take on a bit of a steeper challenge.

At the base of the mountain

"Wow...." came her whispy voice as she stared up toward the peak of the mountain. Dressed in an all too casual lacey white shirt with a black vest, black hiking slacks and white boots; purple and black bows tied in her hair, curls pouring all around. She quickly took a sip from her water bottle, then slid it into a slot on her belt. Her bag of tricks aside, this girl felt a need to be prepared in a more traditional way. That said, she still carried her magic purse, just in case.

The air was smooth and crisp, still easy breathing at the foot of the mountain. A few deep breaths, another sip of water, then a quick bite of her trail mix, Riley's a hundred kinds of ready. That is, until she hears a stick break not far from her. Gasping quickly, she crouches behind a boulder, hiding from the person or animal that was encroaching on her.

Kari cursed her luck as the twig snapped under her bare feet, her body froze, still focused on the pair of rabbits grazing not far away. They bolted and the girl cursed, there goes lunch.

Her nose twitched and she glanced over, spotting another person, this one human, through the trees. The wolf tipped her head to one side and crept closer, peering at the now apparent girl curiously. Humans didn't normally venture this far, it interested the wolf. Another snap of a twig and the girl seemed to spook just as the rabbits had, only she didn't run as any normal prey animal would. The girl ducked behind a boulder and the wolf chuckled. She trotted closer, gaining speed then she jumped onto the boulder, using her claws to scale it. She peeked down at the girl.

"Hi there." She giggled, her voice was light, soft, easy on the ears. Not at all to be expected from the fierce looking female.
